Picked up my first Rolex to mark the moment in time that was my Sour Strips journey. What started as a goofy idea on my 30th birthday 9-9-19 quickly turned into one of the fastest growing sour candy brands of my generation to then be purchased by Hershey on 11-08-24. My younger self could have never imagined the outcome that my life has been so far, but I hope that when I look down at this watch it reminds me of the work that went into the idea that changed my life forever. Also I can’t wait to give this sucker to my son in the future 🫶🏼 For the watch nerds: 40mm Platinum Day Date

As I turn 36 years old today, I realize that 35 was my best year yet. I married the love of my life, sold my company to Hershey, bought 15 acres to build our home, added another doodle to the fam, and experienced the greatest miracle of all — the birth of our first child. I never could have imagined my life working out the way it has, but I’m forever grateful that it did. Cheers to 36 and seeing how we can top what we have achieved thus far 🫡

Little did I know that this dog would quickly become my best friend and sidekick for every single moment that would happen after that. When I started Sour Strips in 2019, I told myself and all of you that one day this WILL become one of the largest candy brands in the industry and I’ll be damned if I plan to let anyone down. Hopefully you all have been following this journey from when it was Project XX, to launching into our first retailer, to stressing over warehouse sizes to finally getting acquired by one of the largest candy companies in the world, Hershey. We still have a long way to go and I’m thrilled that I can continue to lead innovation and ensure that Sour Strips is a household name for generations to come. If there was ever an example of “anything is possible”, I hope that this story that continues to unfold in front of our eyes is a representation of that and motivates the hell out of anyone who starts their own business. You can do it. Keep going. Ever Forward 🤟🏼

Judging every move you make, assuming things that aren’t true and sometimes even hoping for a downfall but honestly I am the happiest I’ve ever been.
