#WisdomWednesday Moving to a new place was both scary and exciting. I noticed my ability to receive without resistance in this new environment, and that signal to my nervous system brought me joy. It hasn’t always been easy to receive without resistance, but I could give freely. So this is my opportunity to express my vulnerability about receivership, and I want to add that we all should celebrate our wins, big or small. This is the first time I have felt safe in the home of my body and life. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey. Thank you to my love ❤️. #TruthThursday Love is always available and deeply needed by most of us. Growing up, love, affection, and showing real emotion were not things that most men expressed, as it was often seen as a sign of weakness. As a result, I spent much of my life closed off to receiving love from anyone because I didn’t trust easily. I would only give love and then move on. My cousin @Dyoungshow has always been a giver, assertive in his passion for life. He may have a tough exterior, but he loves deeply and cares for you no matter the circumstances. I remember in 2018 when I went to hug him before I left Baltimore for LA. He said, “Cuz, what the heck was that?” I replied, “What?” He responded, “You’re cold. What, are you not used to hugs?” I realized then that I really didn’t hug people. From that point on, we built a strong bond, and I gradually felt safe to receive love and feedback. He became someone I could turn to when life got tough. 2023 was a challenging year, and I asked @dyoungshow to come to LA because I needed his perspective and insight. He flew out, and immediately, I began to see the things in my life that were holding me back and bringing me down. Looking back, everything he said was true and spot-on. He helped clear away old patterns and energies, guiding me to my true self. He saw me, loved me for who I am, and provided me with support and wisdom. He values truth, integrity, and being your authentic self. We never know who will come into our lives when we need it most, and he has always been there for me, helping me grow and heal. Men need to connect, reflect, and bond with each other. These days, many men suffer in silence behind closed doors, but we don’t have to. Fellas, reach out, open up, and find your tribe so you can evolve together. Let’s face life as a community and stop isolating ourselves. To anyone reading this who can relate and has that one person who supports you and loves you for who you are, let them know they matter and that you appreciate them. @dyoungshow, LOVE YOU, FAMILY! ❤️ Thank you for the brotherhood. Today, I’m the founder and current Chair of Didi Hirsch’s Next Gen Advisory Council–a group of 17 young professionals passionate about mental health and community care–and a Board Advisor for this amazing organization. AND this is the second year I’ll be co-emceeing the event with the amazing @ericbigger. @didi_hirsch operates the largest suicide prevention crisis line in the country and provides extensive counseling and support services to those who have lost a loved one to suicide or made an attempt themselves. These revolutionary support groups have been modeled internationally, and Didi Hirsch has recently created new groups for first responders after the LA fires and for teens during this unprecedented youth mental health crisis—they are meeting the moment. #SoulSunday As the world 🌎 changes and we navigate trials and tribulations together, it is up to each of us, the individual, you, and we as a family, to find our center and focus on our growth and what we choose to give our energy to. In a world increasingly embracing feminine energy, we must protect it, acknowledge it, and create a safe space for the feminine to thrive. Much of this transformation starts within our consciousness, households, families, friendships, and partnerships. We are responsible for the next generation, whether we consciously recognize it or not. I know my duty is to provide wisdom, lived experiences, presence, truth, care, and guidance for the new souls coming into this world, especially young men. Young boys need men, and we all need each other. The feminine needs the masculine to be available, open, responsive, nurturing, and grounded in wholeness so that safety can exist within our divine unions, individually and collectively, in relationships and our communities. We all come from the vessel of a woman(the womb), and we are here to create and thrive together as a whole. By living intentionally, reflecting on our unique journeys, and understanding our souls, we can focus on our mission, duties, or responsibilities in this lifetime, in this moment, or during this season. Let’s not take what we have available to us for granted, nor pass judgment or project our thoughts onto others. We do not know what anyone else is carrying. For this #SoulSunday, let’s find a quiet space to tap into our soul and discover what it's calling our attention to, rather than what the world tells us. Your inner world deserves your attention; your body seeks your presence, and your spirit wants you to listen. When you are ready, tap into your soul essence (mind, body, and spirit) and gradually release the control of your ego and the fears that hinder your frequency. Be present in the here and now. ✨👁️ Change is on the way, and it begins within your body and mind.
