In the late hours of June 25, 2024, a deputy with the Otero County Sheriff’s Office responded to what should have been a routine welfare check along U.S. Highway 70 near Mescalero, New Mexico. The person walking alone was 17-year-old Elijah Hadley. Within minutes, Elijah was dead.
The entire encounter was captured on law enforcement cameras, and today, the deputy involved is awaiting trial slated to begin in August for first-degree murder.

On June 23, 2026, 36-year-old nurse Allie Hummel was found dead inside her Missouri home. The 911 call came from her husband, Dr. Andrew Hummel, an anesthesiologist, who told authorities he woke up and found Allie unresponsive. But for Allie’s family, his explanation raised immediate questions. Just three months earlier, Andrew Hummel was convicted of assault after strangling Allie in July 2025.
Now, both her family and investigators are waiting for autopsy and toxicology results to come back any day now as they continue to investigate her death.

🚨 BREAKING: Nearly 30 years after 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was found strangled in her Colorado home, items from her case are being re-tested with advanced DNA technology in hopes of finally identifying her killer.
Officials haven’t disclosed which items, but they reportedly include both old evidence and previously untested clues from the basement where she was discovered, according to her brother John Andrew Ramsey.

15-year-old Tina Fontaine had been failed by nearly every system designed to protect her, from child welfare agencies to police, in the weeks leading up to her death. After losing her father, Tina became increasingly vulnerable, cycling through shelters, police custody, and welfare services. Despite numerous opportunities for intervention, she was failed at every turn, and on August 17, 2014, her body was found in the Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

On June 23, someone resembling Jonathan was captured on a Ring camera in Kirkland—over 40 miles away from Arlington. Jonathan’s family is convinced that the man in the video is their son, though the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office disagrees.
Jonathan has autism, and his family says he is not able to live independently for extended periods.
