These early versions only existed as tiny pixel sprites inside the prototype games, and many were changed or completely redesigned before the final versions came out. Fast forward a few years, and artist @raciebeep decided to redraw those beta sprites as full illustrations in the style of Ken Sugimori, so we can see each demo Pokémon in all its glory. The top images show the demo recreations, and the bottom images are the official Ken Sugimori artworks of the final Pokémon that were released.
