This mom draws Pokémon without ever seeing them and the results are incredible 😅

The artist behind @pok.emum has never actually looked at a single Pokémon design. Instead, she reads their biology descriptions on Bulbapedia and brings them to life purely from imagination. A “small electric mouse” turns into something completely unexpected. A “ghost made of gas” becomes a surreal swirl of shapes and color.

The project started as a challenge from her daughter, who wanted to see how close her mom could get using only written descriptions. What followed is a series of wildly creative interpretations that feel equal parts accurate and completely unhinged in the best way.

He’s turning Disney Princesses into the Millennium Falcon 😅

Brad Barber is a LEGO builder known for reimagining existing sets as Star Wars themed builds, most often versions of the Millennium Falcon.

He has even transformed sets based on The Lion King’s Simba, Fast and Furious, and Disney Princesses into Millennium Falcon styled builds, using only the pieces from those original kits. His work showcases how completely unrelated themes can be reworked into designs inspired by Star Wars’ most famous ship.

A standout in the LEGO community, proving that with the right vision even the most unexpected set can become a starship.

“I… I frew up” 😭

Pokémon’s new game Pokopia just dropped and the dialogue is already going viral.

Instead of battling, you play as a Ditto disguised as a human rebuilding a world for Pokémon and talking to them along the way.

Because the game focuses on interacting with Pokémon, the developers intentionally gave them way more dialogue to show their personalities.

The result? Some very emotional… and unhinged lines.

It just snowed during PokéPark Kanto’s opening weekend, and lucky fans in attendance have been sharing viral images of the park transformed into a winter scene.

Pokémon like Pikachu, Eevee, Jigglypuff, and Charizard were seen covered in fresh snow, creating moments that felt straight out of the games. ❄️

The way it grabbed the bone club 🥹

This Pokémon fan 3D-printed a Cubone mask for his leopard gecko, carefully sizing it to fit and letting the little dude try it on like a custom helmet.

This teacher makes physics class feel like an episode of One Piece 👀

Physics teacher Oliver Castro Jiménez has gone viral for turning Luffy and the Straw Hats into full-on lesson plans. Instead of boring diagrams, he sketches scenes from the anime to explain real concepts like tension, projectile motion, gravity, and even fluid mechanics.

Luffy stretching becomes a way to visualize force. The Going Merry helps break down buoyancy. Even characters like Usopp and Whitebeard show up to explain motion and energy in ways that actually stick.

It’s a simple idea, but it completely changes how students connect with the material. Turns out learning physics is a lot easier when it feels like you’re watching your favorite anime.

In Tokyo’s Akihabara district, a bar is turning trading cards into cocktails.

At “TCG & Board Games Cafe & Bar Fun”, customers hand over their favorite Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and the bartender crafts a drink inspired by the artwork and colors on the card.

Tucked inside Japan’s anime and gaming capital, the bar has become a gathering spot for fans who bring their favorite cards to see them reimagined in drink form.

The legend is making its return 👀

As Pokémon celebrates 30 years, fans are getting a major dose of nostalgia with the return of the iconic fat Pikachu plush. First released in 1997 by Takara Tomy and beloved for its rounder look, this version has not been widely reissued until now.

To honor the franchise’s roots and the moment Pikachu became a global mascot, Pokémon is bringing back this original design with the 30th Anniversary Welcome Back Pikachu 1/1 plush, arriving February 28th.

A rare PSA 10 “Red Cheeks” Pikachu card that mirrors the plush is live now in the Fanatics Collect Premier auction.

Tattoo artist @fetattooer turns Pokémon into irezumi, traditional Japanese tattoos known for their bold linework, mythic symbolism, and storytelling composition.

He has worked his magic on some of the series’ most beloved characters, including Blastoise, Squirtle, Togepi, Magmar, and Primeape, reimagining them through the lens of Edo-era artistry. 🔥

Pokemon got creative with this Geodude costume 😅

In 2023, Geodude was spotted with transparent legs at the Pokémon World Championships parade in Yokohama, Japan. Surrounded by large Pokémon filling the streets, its costume stood out for using a checkered, Photoshop-style pattern to hide the performer’s legs - creating the illusion that Geodude was actually floating through the crowd.

This was an official Pokémon-sponsored event, and it quickly went viral for how bizarre it looked. Fans even started photoshopping the legs out entirely to make it seem like Geodude was truly floating.

A surprisingly clever way to bring a floating Pokémon to life in the real world.

Alysa Liu has a Pokémon doppelganger 👀

Known for her fearless triple Axels, huge personality, and love of anime, she shook up the skating world with power, artistry, and an ease under pressure that never felt forced.

At first it’s the hair that makes the comparison obvious, but it’s also the energy: curious, quick, and never really moving in a straight line.

Different worlds, same energy.

The Pope had our back 🤝

In 2000, many critics were calling Pokémon “immoral” and even “demonic,” the controversy reached the Vatican.

Instead of condemning it, Pope John Paul II reportedly approved the franchise after a review. He said, Pokémon promoted “intense bonds of friendship,” imagination, and had no harmful moral effects.

At the height of Pokémania panic, even the Vatican said: it’s fine.

One of the strangest landfill finds of all time 👀

At a local landfill in Birmingham, Alabama, someone came across a discarded Chuck E. Cheese animatronic sitting among the debris. Photos surfaced online, and the internet quickly gave him a name: “Landfill Chuck.”

Rather than letting him fade into obscurity, the animatronic was put up for auction. That’s when @cecflorida - a dedicated collector and restorer - stepped in. He purchased the broken character and began the long process of bringing him back to life.

From sitting in a landfill to standing fully assembled once again, Landfill Chuck got a second chance. There haven’t been any updates since, but somewhere in Florida, a once-forgotten animatronic may be powered on and waiting for his next performance.

In 2018, an old Pokémon Gold & Silver demo from the ’90s leaked online, revealing dozens of early Pokémon designs that were never released.

These early versions only existed as tiny pixel sprites inside the prototype games, and many were changed or completely redesigned before the final versions came out.

Fast forward a few years, and artist @raciebeep decided to redraw those beta sprites as full illustrations in the style of Ken Sugimori, so we can see each demo Pokémon in all its glory.

The top images show the demo recreations, and the bottom images are the official Ken Sugimori artworks of the final Pokémon that were released.

A young Pokémon collector named Rocky @rockys_pokedex faced a heartbreak most collectors could never imagine. A fire in his hometown destroyed his entire collection, leaving him with nothing but memories of the cards he loved. His dad promised they would rebuild it together, pack by pack.

Since then, Rocky’s collection has grown slowly, with help from friends, family, local card shops, and even strangers who heard his story. Each pack brought excitement, hope, and a chance to keep the hobby alive.

Recently, they captured one unforgettable moment on camera. Rocky opened a pack from Prismatic Evolutions and pulled a rare God Pack. The joy on his face, the laughter, and the pure excitement made everyone in the room feel the magic of that moment.

This dad re-draws his sons sketches and turns them into real anime characters ❤️

Thomas Romain, the artist behind @thomasintokyo, takes the wild, imaginative sketches of his sons and redraws them as fully realized anime designs. A messy robot becomes a detailed mech. A strange creature turns into a polished character straight out of a studio.

He started this project back in 2017 with his sons Ryunosuke and Itsuki, letting them create freely while he refined their ideas with color, structure, and professional detail. What began as a fun family activity turned into a viral series and even a book, proving that kids’ creativity can hold its own in the world of real animation.
