Just a few weeks ago at @ayanaresort and I’m already dreaming of returning. This place isn‘t just a stay; it’s a full sensory escape where every moment feels curated and every detail is impeccable.

Our journey began with golden hour at the iconic @rockbarbali —cliffside cocktails and tapas as the sun melted into the Indian Ocean. Pure magic. Dinner that night was at the @liulipalacebali Palace, an all-you-can-eat hot pot paradise that warmed the soul.

Mornings started with lavish breakfast spreads at Padi or Karang, fueling our days of exploration. We soaked in culture at the @sakamuseum to explore their local culture, then indulged in a long, lazy lunch at Kubu Beach Club—fresh seafood, tropical drinks, and that breezy ocean vibe.

After a short getaway to Bromo, we returned to AYANA for pure bliss: a soothing 60-minute Balinese massage that melted every tension @ayanaspabali, followed by an exquisite dinner at @scusarestaurant. Another day began with the dreamy Floating Breakfast at LUNA rooftop, and later, rooftop cocktails and bites at @uniquerooftopbar with panoramic views.

Every meal here was a masterpiece—from beach club casual to fine dining. But beyond the flawless food and stunning settings, it’s the feeling that stays with you: the harmony, the hospitality, the sense of being completely taken care of.

Perfumed with black truffle, bathed in a morel cream sauce that feels like the most beautiful dream. Theatre, history and flavour in one transcendent bite. If you eat ONE dish in France before you die — let it be this. 🍄🖤

The cheese trolley brought Lyon’s finest — the legendary Saint-Marcellin, gloriously runny, tasting purely of its terroir. 🧀

Chef Kaneda’s legendary crab curry, born from his time at Gaggan, arrived with bold, unexpected layers. His refined dessert, shaped during his years at RyuGin, carried the quiet precision of a master. And Chef Odo – right here in New York – held his own with a quiet grace, blending tradition with the city’s energy. 🫶

At the Chef’s Counter, we watched two chefs from different worlds build a menu that wasn’t a compromise, but an evolution. French structure, Japanese sensitivity, and a fearless push beyond genre.

I stayed here for three days and truly understood what it means to ”tuck the lazy elegance of the South of France into the vineyards of Burgundy.“ The aesthetic of this estate is sophisticated without being showy — herringbone oak floors, a decorative fireplace, linen curtains gently lifted by the breeze. Every detail speaks the art of French living. No forced luxury, just an innate sense of ease and refinement.

The outdoor pool is nestled among the vines — after a swim, you look up to an entire vineyard. The private spa faces the vines; book an hour of hot tub and massage, and all your fatigue melts away. And their newly opened @cafe.charlie.pommard — from morning coffee to evening wine, sunlight falls across the window frames onto the table. You don‘t have to do anything, just sitting there gives you that full Southern French sense of deep relaxation.
