LA dining is such a scam and I’m done pretending it’s not. A lot of you asked what really happened at Cipriani… and how my Scam or Slam series even started. This was it. @ciprianibeverlyhills ruined my 40th birthday… (I posted the full video about this recently.) Reservation confirmed for the Jazz Room… until we got there, they messed up, booked us for regular dining and were shoved into a corner downstairs. $1300 later for below average food… My boyfriend got approval ahead of time to bring a cake. Suddenly? Not allowed. They can only present it. Then allowed… but no candles and can’t serve it. No effort. No care. They didn’t give af. After going back and forth & several arguments with staff, this lovely woman finally approved the cake on the table so my friends could sing… and still charged us $4 per slice… for a cake we brought. Thank god for my friends and bf who helped me keep it together. I don’t mind a cake fee. I mind the lack of accountability, the attitude, and making someone feel like shit on their birthday. Like we are lesser than them. It’s not about the money. It’s about the experience. If you’re charging like a luxury restaurant… act like one! LA dining is such a scam and I’m done pretending it’s not. A lot of you asked what really happened at Cipriani… and how my Scam or Slam series even started. This was it. @ciprianibeverlyhills ruined my 40th birthday… (I posted the full video about this recently.) Here’s what I have to say about the Polo Lounge. Hands down one of the best places to people watch… it’s beautiful, it’s energetically a bit pretentious & hollywood, but the lovely staff, service and pianist playing in the background made up for that. However, the $50 watery chopped salad with basic Ingredients was a complete scam. I know many people love this salad, this is only MY personal opinion… no hate to anyone who loves it! But for me, the premium price to the dish I was served was an absolute LA dining scam.
