I searched Marketplace for 6 months trying to find the perfect piece for our craft room/butler pantry… and somehow ended up bringing a piece of Cleveland history back home. Found this cabinet in Chattanooga @heirloom_chattanooga and later learned: • it’s over 100 years old • came from a historic home in Cleveland, TN • originally from Cleveland Utilities • and is apparently worth several times more than what I paid for it The craftsmanship is unreal. Solid wood, original character, hand-carved details… the kind of piece you simply cannot walk into a store and buy anymore. Sometimes I think old homes find the people meant to care for them… and maybe old furniture does too. Marketplace may never top this find. Still have to paint the walls but 😍 Question- would you darken wood or leave as is? #thriftedhome #marketplacefinds

I already scored a beautiful dresser for just $40, and today I stumbled across this Colonial Revival highboy for only $89! 🤯 Now all I need are two side tables and the room will be complete. Pretty sure I’ll end up with at least a $700 profit to go find more thrifted treasures with 😂✨ Proof that creating a classic, cozy home doesn’t have to cost a fortune!
