I’lI splurge when it’s worth it - but if I can get luxe for less, I’m all in. Because real luxury isn’t what you spend- it’s what actually works. @lorealparis Midnight Cream feels rich and hydrating-it helps strengthen the skin barrier and smooth texture overnight. I wake up with soft, glowing skin that feels expensive... without the price tag. It’s proof that sometimes, the best results come in a $28 jar.

i’m 42. the sh*t I wish someone told me at 32.

1. the sunscreen lecture everyone gives you is real, and you didn’t listen. you thought you had time. you didn’t have time. you had a tan and a false sense of security.
2. you don’t need to “earn” rest by being exhausted first. you ran yourself into the ground for a decade because resting felt like cheating. nobody gave you a trophy for it.
3. retinoids are not optional. i know you think you’re
“not that kind of girl.” you are.
4. your husband is not going to read your mind, no matter how many years you give him to figure it out. just say the thing.
5. you don’t need 40 trendy pieces. you need 8 good ones and the willingness to wear them on repeat. nobody is keeping a spreadsheet of your outfits except you.
6. your neck ages faster than your face and nobody warns you. sunscreen, serums, all of it - start before you need it, not after you’re googling “neck tightening” at 1am.
7. you dressed for who you thought you were supposed to be, not who you wanted to become. that was the mistake. the discomfort of standing out is nothing compared to the discomfort of staying invisible.

comment GLOW and i’ll send you what i wish i did for my neck starting in my 30s, the skin protocol i wish id started, and the quality pieces i wish i’d owned instead of the fast fashion.

I’m 42. I’ve tried almost every f*cking beauty treatment. What my real honest opinion on each one? See below.

1. Microneedling at home – hurts like hell but my skin looks smoother and tighter.
2. CO2 around the eyes – ugh. Felt like it made my wrinkles, more pronounced and my eye area dry
3. Sculptra – slow results but incredible for restoring volume and making skin look thicker. Goodbye filler👋🏻
4. Daily olive oil shot – healthy fats and antioxidants. My skin genuinely looks better when I stay consistent. Make sure you drink an oil with really high polyphenols.
5. Lip blush tattoo – would def be amazing for some, but I love lip liner and lipstick so I still wear them
6. In-office teeth whitening – uncomfortable but the results are SO worth it.
7. Eyebrow tattoo – waking up with matching brows is elite.
8. Lip filler – I don’t get much but I love how it fills in the tiny lines and makes my lips look more youthful
9. PRP – wanted to love it, but didn’t see enough difference.
10. Daily collagen – my hair, skin, and nails look better when I take it.
11. Lip flip – wore off fast and didn’t make enough difference.
12. Lip lift – permanent, but gave me the upper lip balance I wanted. LOVE.
13. IPL – amazing for redness and sun damage.
14. LED light therapy – consistent use actually improves skin tone and inflammation.
15. Skin flooding – layering toners and essences makes skin look plump and hydrated. Hello glass skin.
16. Exosomes under the eyes – didn’t wow me. At all.
17. Microneedling with PDGF – healing and glow are next level.
18. Botox – obvious yes.
19. Skin stamping – helps products absorb better and keeps skin looking smooth.
20. Hydrafacial – feels nice but results don’t last long enough.
21. Dermaplaning – smoother skin and makeup sits better.
22. RF microneedling – gets rid of fat on your face, no thanks. 😭
23. Fractionated CoolPeel – amazing for texture.
24. Overnight collagen masks – I look ridiculous but wake up with amazing skin.

comment SKIN for everything I use for microneedling, skin stamping, skin flooding, and my full skincare routine.

I try every beauty fad so you don’t have to. Here are my brutally honest reviews.

1. Chin strap - overhyped nonsense. Did absolutely nothing.
2. Olive oil shot - hated admitting this worked. Botox in a shot glass.
3. Weighted vest - annoying wellness trend... but I get it
now.
4. Teeth whitening -
immediate upgrade. Makes you look younger.
5. Microblading - changed my face more than I expected and and now my brows always match.
6. Teeth bonding - one of the best cosmetic things I’ve done.
7. Hydrafacial - nice experience, not enough results for the cost.
8. Lip lift - subtle difference,
HUGE impact.
9. Vibration plate - rolled my eyes, now l use it constantly.
10. Glass skin sunscreen spray
- pretty finish but I’m already very oily and made me very shiny.
11. Sculptra - expensive, but slowly adds youth back to your face.
12. Professional scalp cleaning
- weirdly satisfying and my hair has never felt so soft.
13. At-home microneedling - biggest difference in my skin texture and glow. I love using it on my stretch marks. I use the Dr Pen M8
14. Viral eye bag cream - works but doesn’t look great with make up.
15. Extensions - love the fullness, hate the upkeep.
16. Viral liquid eyeshadow -l literally wear this every single day.
17. CO2 laser - don’t love the downtime, but incredible results.
18. PRP - wanted to love it more than I did.

comment BEAUTY and I’ll send you the ones actually worth the money🥂 (make sure you’re following or IG won’t let me send it🙄)

If I could talk to 32-year-old me, I’d say:
Yes, be overdressed next to your husband. That’s the point.
Buy the faux or vintage fur, it changes everything.
Permanent makeup > anything in your Sephora cart.
And if people whisper when you walk in, relax. You didn’t do anything wrong — you did something right.
This took me 10 years to learn.
hope this is your shortcut xx

Seven things women in their 40s who look effortless aren’t telling you 👇🏼

1. They stopped collecting decent jeans. One pair that fits like perfection — in multiple washes — changes everything.
2. Skincare isn’t a splurge anymore. It’s maintenance. And it shows.
3. If they have to keep adjusting it, it’s not the right piece.
4. Bags are intentional — classic structure, colors that work with what they already wear.
5. They rarely finish a look with a sneaker. It’s usually a loafer, a low heel, or a boot.
6. The smoky eye that worked at 28 doesn’t hit the same at 42. Nothing ages you faster.
7. They don’t pretend sugar doesn’t affect collagen and elasticity. At this age, it shows.

i’ve tried every f*cking beauty thing that claims to make you look younger. my honest ratings (part 2)👇🏻

1. Lip tattoo – Still deciding. I like waking up with color, but I still wear liner and lipstick
2. Gua Sha cream – My face just looks more sculpted afterward.
3. Hormone replacement therapy – Nothing changed my skin, energy, and overall quality of life more.
4. At-home microneedling – One of the best things I do for collagen and texture
5. PRP – Didn’t see any difference. Would rather get PDGF
6. This eye makeup trick – Learned this trick from my celebrity artist makeup friend. Drastically changed how my eye makeup sits
7. Hydrafacial – Nice before an event, but not floored by it.
More natural makeup – Less more natural makeup made me look SO much younger.
8. Lip lift – My favorite cosmetic procedure I’ve ever had.
9. Cellular longevity pills – Feel more energized taking these. Gets rid of zombie cells which is key for ant-aging.
10. Niacinamide – Made my face (and hands) calmer, brighter, stronger, and just look healthier.
11. Face shaving – Smoother skin and makeup looks so much better. No hair does not grow back more coarse, that is a fallacy.
12. Reading glasses – They actually probably make me look older, but at least I don’t have to hold my phone three feet away anymore💁🏼‍♀️

Double tap if you’ve learned that confidence is the real luxury🥂

At 42, I wish I’d embraced that no product, no outfit, and no approval will ever beat the glow that comes from actually liking who you are.

To all my younger friends — you don’t need to become her, just start being you.❤️

This is for my younger girls — be real, not flawless. If they think you’ve changed, good — that was the goal. Don’t cheap out on jeans; buy the pair that makes your butt look insane. And never apologize for being strong bc the right man will never ask you to.👊🏻

Because confidence? That’s the real luxury. 💋

the sh*t nobody tells you about getting older, part 2

1. your collagen starts leaving in your 30s. i wish i knew then what i know now about protecting it.
2. the women you think have it all figured out are googling the same sh*t as the rest of us.
3. listen to me when I say this. nobody notices your flaws as much as you do.
4. the women who look polished don’t necessarily own more. they just buy less junk.
5. nobody explained that skincare has an order. i literally thought you just put the products on and called it a day.
6. i spent way too much time saving things for special occasions. now i buy the dress, make the reservation, and create the f*cking occasion myself.
7. not everyone is going to like you. that used to bother me. now it saves me time.

now that I’m in my 40s, these are the beauty tips I wish my mom told me in my 30s👇🏻

1. fix your teeth-getting my teeth bonded was so easy and made my smile look so much better
2. invest in one pair of jeans that fit perfectly-one good pair made every outfit look more expensive
3. learn how to get rid of melasma- this particular cream made it go away forever
4. use tretinoin-nothing else has done more for my skin long term. I like using the La Roche Posay cream as my final step when I use it to help with irritation
5. lift heavy- this completely changed my body shape and confidence
6. skip facials, start microneedling- this will change the texture of your skin for the better
7. wear SPF every single day-do you like having collagen?
8. fix what bothers you- for me, that was my lip lift. One of the best decisions I’ve made
9. don’t over-exfoliate- i thought i was helping… i was just damaging my skin barrier
10. fix your brows- this frames your entire face more than makeup ever will
11. cool it on the sugar- again, do you like having collagen?
12. short hair can be sexy too-cutting my hair changed my whole
13. stop being so concerned what others might say- because the minute you stop, everything gets better

(in the olive oil’s defense, I forgot to add lemon juice, that’s key🤢) I’m 42. I’ve tried almost every beauty fad so you don’t have to. Here’s what I’d actually keep vs. pass on:

1. Chin strap — HARD NO
Just moves fluid. The second it’s off, it’s gone.
2. Skin flooding — OBSESSED
Hydrated skin = smoother, plumper, less crepey.
3. Vibration plate — LOVE
Good for circulation + lymphatic drainage. I feel a difference.
4. Microcurrent — BACK AND FORTH
Works… but only if you stay consistent.
5. Lip blushing — EH
Could be great for some but I still reach for lip products.
6. At-home laser hair removal — WORTH IT
Takes time, but works if you stick with it.
7. Eyebrow tattoo — LIFE-CHANGING
Saves time + frames your whole face.
8. At-home microneedling — YES (if done right)
Stay shallow. Don’t overdo it.
9. Dermaplaning — THE SH*T
Smoother skin, better makeup, better absorption.
10. Exfoliation mitts — SECRET WEAPON
So much dead skin comes off… it’s wild.
11. Mouth tape — HMMM
I believe in it (teeth + sleep)… I just forget to use it.
12. K Tips- love/hate
Do such a great job filling in the hair around the face, but they require upkeep
13. LED masks — YES, BUT
Consistency + quality matter.
14. Overnight collagen masks — LOVE
You wake up looking better. Not permanent, but worth it.
15. Olive oil shot — WORTH IT
Anti-inflammatory, supports skin, and I notice better glow + digestion. Make sure you use one with a high polyphenol count.

comment FADS and I’ll send you everything I use 🤍 (also just a heads up, so many of these products and my other beauty faves are part of the Amazon Spring sale right now-linked those as well)

sharing the lessons 42yr old me wishes 32yr old me embraced sooner...like being overdressed next to my husband (think Justin and Hailey), that a (faux or vintage) fur coat is the fastest way to look rich, that permanent makeup is more transformative than any product in my Sephora cart, or that walking into a room knowing girls might whisper only means I did something right. Took me a decade to own it—don’t waste the same time.
