I’ve been to Bali around 20 times
and never had Bali belly

here’s what I do differently:

1. don’t get tap or shower water in your mouth
not even when brushing your teeth

2. only eat fresh cut fruit from busy places
high turnover = food doesn’t sit around

3. same with fresh salads
only from places with good reviews + high turnover

4. I usually go for tofu / tempeh over chicken
less risk

5. cooked meals are always the safest option
fresh/raw foods are the riskiest

6. if I’m unsure, I skip ice
it can be made from unfiltered water

7. I’m careful with smoothies and juices
same reason as ice and fruit

8. I always trust my gut
if something feels off, I just don’t eat it

9. before even coming here
I focus on gut health
fibre, probiotics, fermented foods

10. I bring electrolytes + probiotics with me

it’s honestly not about being paranoid
just a bit more aware

and you can enjoy Bali without getting sick

save this for your next trip 🍉🥥

be careful moving to australia, no one warned me about this 🫠

I used to drink a lot. like… a lot.
waking up before 11am? not happening.
I’d binge-watch shows for hours, eat burgers, ice cream, chocolate, whatever highly processed foods I could find really.
I hated going outside, didn’t have any real friends.
even a walk to the shops felt like hard work.
I didn’t like myself - I didn’t like life.

then I moved to australia with the intention to burn through all my money and bad memories.
and everything changed.
suddenly I wanted to get up early.
now, it’s hard to keep me in bed past 5:30am.
I go to sleep and can not wait to wake up in the morning.
I LOVE all sorts of movement, the ocean, sunshine, new connections.
my whole world revolves around health, travel, adventure.
and I freaking love my life.
so much that the idea of it ever ending… honestly terrifies me. I don’t want to miss a single day of this.
🩵

so if you’re thinking of moving down under, be prepared to fall in love with your life - harder than you have ever fallen before 🫶🏼

things I do to stay safe as a solo female traveller

1. I don’t post my location in real time
only after I’ve already left

2. I screenshot my accommodation address
so I always have it, even without internet

3. I download offline maps for the area
just in case I lose signal

4. I carry some cash
so I’m not stuck relying on cards, apps or my phone

5. I try and arrive at a new place during the day
so I can actually see the surroundings

6. I make sure I know how to get back
before I go anywhere new

7. I always share my live location
with family or friends back home

8. if possible, I also share it with someone nearby
someone who could actually act if something happened

9. I tell drivers I’m meeting my boyfriend
even if I’m not

10. I tell strangers I’m travelling with friends
and about to meet them

11. I casually mention someone is tracking my location
“my boyfriend can see where I am anyway”

12. I keep an airtag in my bag or wallet

13. I avoid being alone outside at night
especially in unfamiliar areas

14. I stay aware of my surroundings
not fully in my phone, not distracted

15. I don’t share where I’m staying

16. I trust my gut
if something feels off, I leave immediately

17. I don’t try to be “polite” at the cost of my safety

it’s not about being paranoid
just being a bit more aware

solo travel is still one of the best things I’ve ever done

save this for your next trip 💛

Van tour of my Toyota Hiace Commuter 🐚

This little surfer van has been home for the last 1.5 years of my van life in Australia (at least when I’m not overseas). She’s nothing fancy, but perfect for me.

3 surfboards fit inside -> obviously a priority. There’s a small sink, a fridge, a full solar setup so I can charge all my gear, and just enough storage to live comfortably without turning it into clutter.

It’s not a luxury camper conversion. It’s simple, practical, and designed around space to move rather than loads of cupboards.

Life on wheels in this thing just makes everything feel uncomplicated ☺️

Skipped your 5AM surf for drinks?
Okay… but what did you actually miss??

🌅 Sunrise
The kind that doesn’t show up on camera - but you feel it to your core

🏝️Salt on Skin
That first dive into the water that wakes up every cell in your body.

🌊 Ocean Therapy
Just you + the waves = peace

🏄Surf High
The one wave that makes you smile all day

☕️ Coffee After
When it’s still quiet, and your wetsuit’s dripping on your car window

✨Head Start
When most are sleeping off tequila, you have already had hours of fun

If you felt this… you already know why I choose the ocean every time

Surfing at The Pass always comes with a high probability of getting hit by a board, to the point where I’d honestly consider wearing a helmet… but that’s just not a look I’d go for 😉

I just found this surf hat from @surf.halo that looks super cute and has a removable protective shell. It’s still lightweight, doesn’t get in the way, and surprisingly stays in place even when I do a turtle roll 🐢 🏄

What the heck, why has no one told me about this before?

For everyone who asked me about it in the surf the other day, now you know where to get yours!

this is your cheat sheet for brand DMs and I wish someone had sent me this sooner 💌

Knowing what to say and when is honestly half the job when it comes to brand deals.

Most people either undersell themselves by saying yes to everything or lose the deal by not responding in a way that keeps the conversation going.

The scripts above cover a few situations that come up often. screenshot this, save it, use it word for word if you need to or change the tone so it sounds like you (I adapt my tone depending who’m I speak to).

the exposure one is my favourite because it happens all the time and it’s so easy to either fold or say something that burns the bridge.

you can say no without closing the door.

and the last one is so underused. if a brand loved working with you, that’s the best time to pitch a retainer. they already trust you, the hard part is done.

save this for the next time a brand slides into your DMs 💛

I actually couldn’t believe it. I came back to Bondi and wanted to do a quick gym workout at Beachouse and they told me it was $45. For one session 🤯

As much as I love my structured gym workouts, that price tag just doesn’t make sense when I know how much I can do outside for free.

So if you’re visiting Bondi and don’t want to spend that much every time you train, here’s what I’d do instead:

✨1. Bondi Outdoor Gym – it’s a classic if you want to do some pull-ups and bodyweight training in the sun. It can be a bit of a testosterone zone though (especially since they removed the free weights) 😂

✨2. My favourite spot: halfway along the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, there’s a bench setup near Marks Park. Perfect for a quieter session with a view. Sometimes I do a Murph-like workout there:

→ 2km run (from Bondi Beach), 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, 2km run back followed by a mandatory swim 😊

✨3. Or just go for a long walk, run, or do some beach sprints.

You get movement in, vitamin D, and vitamin sea.

*side note: I‘ll always go back to train @Vrtus on Bondi Rd - I just love it there - pair it with my outdoor sessions and I‘m sweet 💜

I‘m wearing @keepthatpump LJ set in bubblegum 💕 use AMYBACH10 for a cheeky discount
