Volleyball has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old. It was my first love, my longest relationship, and one of the greatest influences in shaping who I am today. It gave me purpose, passion, and the courage to dream bigger. When I first picked up a volleyball, I never imagined where it would take me. I am grateful for the achievements and awards I’ve earned along the way, but the greatest gift volleyball has given me is the person I’ve become. It taught me many life skills and lessons that continue to guide me both on and off the court. Being active has always been a part of my lifestyle, but chasing dreams has always been my driving force. As the daughter of immigrant parents who left the Philippines to build a better life in Canada, I grew up inspired by their courage, sacrifice, and determination. Two years ago, I took a leap of faith and came to the Philippines to pursue my own dreams, carrying with me the same resilience and willingness to put my self out of my comfort zone. The journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of doubt, sacrifice, and challenges that tested me. But through it all, volleyball remains my first love. It continues to give me purpose, and pushes me to become the best version of myself. I know my story is still being written, there are still dreams I am chasing, and goals I am working toward!
