The StormChasers said to try out Cooper’s for some good Soul Food! 👀👀 I can’t find their IG so check out their FB Cooper’s Restaurant and Lounge! Now I want to be honest, my expectations going into this was somewhat low. No offense to them I just didn’t know what a soul food buffet could possibly hit on, MIND YOU I haven’t been to a buffet in YEARS!! lol I was so shocked by how the food was actually really good. I would come just get my same order to go and be completely satisfied. If the food quality and service is consistent everytime then it’s a win for me. They had items like smothered pork chops, baked chicken, fish, smothered sausage, and more. $22 isn’t bad at all in my opinion considering you can get as much as you want + you’d spend that ordering just a plate damn near some other places. Also I’ve spend more than that bit KBBQ, hot pot, and etc. They serve you drinks (I got a sweet tea) and they bring you the cornbread or a roll. I heard they switch up some of the items so checkout for updates on their Facebook. Every Saturday & Sunday 10am-2pm the @cheesecakefactory has brunch and it was so good!! I haven’t been to one in years! The brunch menu has some really good options and they also serve the regular menu which I thought was cool. I also took a slice of the vanilla bean cheesecake home which is my favorite 🤤 The food was delicious I would definitely come back here for brunch. Have you heard of @plixplexvb 👀 They just opened and this place is so cool! I love how each room has a different theme and the games are all so different. The owners curated all these games themselves which had my mind blown 🤯 They currently have 20 games available and will be adding more each week. A 2hr pass is $34 which honestly is worth it. You can play the games as many times as you would like and 2hrs actually is a long time. I was there for about 45 minutes and that seemed like a long time but I only played like 4 or 5 games! My little sister is stationed in Florida and came down to visit me for Thanksgiving 💙 So many places I would’ve loved to take her but we had so little time! Feeling like you need to get out of the 757? 👀 Richmond is just 2hrs away from us and is a whole vibe with plenty of restaurants, bars, and things to do! RVA Big Market — Every Saturday 8am-12pm. If you love farmers markets this is really big and a great way to spend your morning! 📍Bryan Park 3. @rugandrollrva — Something unique to do and a fun activity! Although my rug didn’t come out how I wanted it to I’d do it again especially now that I know what to do! 4. @lunchorsupper — One of the really popular brunch spots in RVA. Nice vibe and good eats. One side is for brunch and the other supper. 5. @cochiloco.mx is a dope Mexican spot! First of all the tortillas are fire >>> def giving me Cali vibes, idc it’s all in the tortilla! lol love the aesthetic and it was poppin at night. Also around other places to stop by. 6. @mamajsrva — a classic RVA soul food spot! If you’re crazing some food fried chicken this is a place to visit, it has been on my list for awhile. 7. @harrysrva — Really cool spot playing diverse music. Super cute and love that it’s 3 stories. 📍ORF ✈️ CUR - I’m in love with @curacao and didn’t even explore half of the island! There’s so much to do so I will be back! Curaçao is a Dutch Caribbean island located just off the coast of Venezuela and near Aruba. The island is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a solo trip, baecation, or group getaway. The hotels and Airbnbs were very reasonably priced, in my opinion. We originally rented a car because we planned to beach-hop, but most of the beaches were about an hour from where we were staying and we didn’t end up making it. Taxis were around $20 USD each way for about a 10-minute ride. I’ll definitely be visiting again to explore more of the island and try some excursions. Hotel: Kontiki Resort and Hotel Food: The old market (street food style market) - 9/10 Mambo beach (Kontiki’s resort restaurant for breakfast and sushi) - 8.5/10 Mar & Tierra 91 - 10/10 Boase Luxury Resort (beautiful & reservation required) - 6.5/10 Serafina - 8/10 Night life: Cascada Rooftop Bar (Thursday night they have fireworks, we had drinks and didn’t eat. DJ WAS FIRE! You also should book a reservation) - 9/10 Club Liv (Friday is R&B and Hip Hop with other themed nights. Section for 4 was $400, soooo fun!) - 9/10 Brunch Day Party at Mambo Beach (4hrs, not your typical brunch, food served slow and in sections, live music) 6/10 Walk Willemstad to explore local shops, vendors, and the beautiful colorful city! 📍ORF ✈️ CUR - I’m in love with @curacao and didn’t even explore half of the island! There’s so much to do so I will be back! Curaçao is a Dutch Caribbean island located just off the coast of Venezuela and near Aruba. The island is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a solo trip, baecation, or group getaway. The hotels and Airbnbs were very reasonably priced, in my opinion. We originally rented a car because we planned to beach-hop, but most of the beaches were about an hour from where we were staying and we didn’t end up making it. Taxis were around $20 USD each way for about a 10-minute ride. I’ll definitely be visiting again to explore more of the island and try some excursions. Hotel: Kontiki Resort and Hotel Food: The old market (street food style market) - 9/10 Mambo beach (Kontiki’s resort restaurant for breakfast and sushi) - 8.5/10 Mar & Tierra 91 - 10/10 Boase Luxury Resort (beautiful & reservation required) - 6.5/10 Serafina - 8/10 Night life: Cascada Rooftop Bar (Thursday night they have fireworks, we had drinks and didn’t eat. DJ WAS FIRE! You also should book a reservation) - 9/10 Club Liv (Friday is R&B and Hip Hop with other themed nights. Section for 4 was $400, soooo fun!) - 9/10 Brunch Day Party at Mambo Beach (4hrs, not your typical brunch, food served slow and in sections, live music) 6/10 Walk Willemstad to explore local shops, vendors, and the beautiful colorful city! Have you been to @ten10restaurant? 👀 What got me is majority of their menu is $10 and below for really good food and halal!! 🔥 ** they also have a location in Portsmouth and Chesapeake What makes them different from going to like Chick-fil-A or McDonald’s is I definitely think you are getting food that is actually going to fill you up and leave you satisfied vs food that leaves you wanting more faster. Everything I got had a lot of flavor and was very fresh! The burger was great and a very good size. In love with this brunch experience at @becca_cavaliervb 😍 Inside they have a speaker and heater! It can seat up to 6 people and for brunch there is a $50 igloo fee and for dinner $100 fee. I’ve had brunch at Becca multiple times, it’s pretty consistent as far as the food goes! A little more on the pricer side of brunches buuuut it’s The Cavalier I expect nothing less. I think this is such a cute birthday idea, anniversary dinner, or just going with some friends to enjoy a different experience. You can book on open table just search Becca and you’ll see the igloos. Read all of their booking stipulations! I mean the girls have been asking for cheaper nail sets 👀😂 Invited to check out @blingblingnailnorfolk which just recently opened and it was a very nice nail salon offering a variety of luxury nail services. They even have a head spa and a VIP room for your nail service if you want a little more privacy. I saw the press-on wall and was skeptical but intrigued. I get my nails done religiously so I wasn’t sure how a press-on set would hold up. I must say, for $40 this set is legit. After having them for a week they are ON THERE. I think this is cool for those that may want to try new nail styles or don’t get their nails done often but have a special event coming up. I also think it’s great if you’re trying to save some money and get a good set. If I didn’t have a soak off it would’ve probably only took like 30ish minutes. There are some little critiques with the nails if I’m looking at them close up and they aren’t perfect but hey that’s okay. Obviously if getting them actually done you have more creative control for the style and shape.
