BBQ BAR NUTS It may be a dry month for some, and respect to that, but SWEET BABY RAY’S isn’t dry — and neither are these BBQ bar nuts. We’re fully committed to a moist January: saucy, salty, a little sticky, and extremely snackable. 3 cups mixed nuts 1 cup SWEET BABY RAY’S BBQ sauce 2 tablespoons brown sugar Salt to taste Bake for around 35 min. Mix every 7 minutes or so. Let cool on a separate baking sheet. Bam! Daiquiri 2 oz Rum ¾ oz Lime Juice ½ oz 2:1 simple syrup I’m pumped to do a video with SWEET BABY RAY’S. Me and my friends grew up on this stuff so this sauce brings some nostalgia. @Sweet Baby Ray’s

WHITE NOISE 1.5 oz Cocchi Americano 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur 2 oz Club soda Grapefruit Peel is a must This is one of my fave cocktails, and also one of the first actual cocktails I had, 8 years ago on my bachelor trip to Portland Maine. I made a video on this one years ago. You can use blanc vermouth but Cocchi is superior though, in this case. I definitely recommend it, and you can sip it straight on ice, in a white Negroni, or make a martini. I love light and crushable cocktails so this one slaps for me and I kind of forget how tasty St Germain is. This is a Hunt and Alpine cocktail. One of many solid bars you can stop in for a hang, in Portland.

ROSITA 1/2 oz Campari 1/2 oz dry vermouth 1/2 oz sweet vermouth 1 1/2 oz Don Julio Reposado An underrated classic for the home crowd. Bartenders know this one well—it was popularized by the late bartender, Gary Regan. You’re actually supposed to use a lemon peel but I haven’t made this in forever and forgot, orange or grapefruit does the job though

SMOKED OLD FASHIONED 2 oz Whiskey 1/4 oz Rich Simple Syrup 4 dashes aromatic bitters 4 dashes orange bitters Either add a tiny tiny pinch of salt or use salt solution which is 80% water, 20% salt. It’ll make your drinks…. POP!

CARAJILLO OLD FASHIONED 1 oz Rye Whiskey 1 oz Cognac 1/4 oz Licor 43 1/4 oz coffee liqueur Garnish your way, I think it needs an orange peel I think some of you would like 1/2 oz of Licor 43. This drink can change depending on the proof of your spirits, and sweetness of your coffee liqueur. Find your balance. This comes from a place called J and Tony’s discount cured meats and Negronis in San Diego which, is a fantastic name for a spot. They must have solid merch. I almost went there when I was in SD last year but didn’t have time. The creator is Shawn O’Connor.

BEERICANO For me, this drink slaps. Americano is a go to for mine because it’s refreshing and lighter abv. I didn’t think I’d like a beer version, but I think it’s solid. I love a simple drink that’s done well. Give me an ice cold americano and I am happy. Lately I have been posting less and that’s because I really only post what I want to, so I don’t get burnt out. I appreciate you all watching my videos for the past 5 years. Hard to believe it’s been 5 years. BEERICANO 1.25 oz Sweet Vermouth 1.25 oz Campari 4 to 5 oz Pilsner Beer foam and two drops of salt (I forgot the salt) Lemon or orange peel Everything should be ice cold!

Have you ever shaken a clarified cocktail? You can make a sours without the egg white. It’s pretty cool. This Amaretto sour is from Grand Army Brooklyn - I just clarified their version. I like it. 2 cups Amaretto 1 cup Lemon Juice 1/4 cup Campari 3/4 cup Milk If yours doesn’t come out like mine, then you didn’t do what I did 🤷 - I always show everything I do, step by step. The straining is the most important part, swapping containers at the right time and not too soon. You guys do great, I am always impressed.

THE BEERICANO The Carajillo old fashioned could never be the BEERICANO 🦅 - I was going to make a new video on this but I’ll bring this one back. Will it make the same splash? No, but it’s still a good time. 1.5 oz Campari 1.5 oz Sweet Vermouth 4 oz Beer of your choice, Pilsner would be good Some folks call these Americano Perfectos, but I’ve looked that up and can’t find much history on it’s origin. We call this one the Beericano. I feel like it’s from Spain or Italy and nothing new but who knows.

Espresso and Licor 43 - equal parts, and if you wanna get nuts add 1/2 oz to 1 oz of a spirit you like. It could be tequila, vodka, or even whiskey. Fresh espresso is ideal and a hard shake,l with a large cube in the tins.

TikTok muted this video a while ago so I’ll post it again. This cocktail is from Hunt and Alpine, Portland Maine. It is one I have been posting since we started posting content. It’s simple but hits the spot. Great for an early spring nightcap, doesn’t get much better. If you are scared of Negronis, try this instead. Shout out to New England, we rule.

SOMETHING TEQUILA 3 oz @lalospirits Tequila 1 ounce lime juice 1 ounce orange juice 1 ounce pineapple juice 1 ounce simple syrup 1/2 ounce passion fruit syrup This cocktail can be found in the Easy Tiki Book, and was created by John Bernard, of Porco Lounge and Tiki Room. I’ve actually been there once on our way home from getting baby Boone 🐕. They use anejo tequila but we did a lighter spin on it with Lalo Blanco Tequila. Big drinks are the best drinks. Remember not to be afraid of juices and syrups as long as they are quality and balanced. Cheers Pals 🍻

How to entertain for a gathering When it comes to cocktails, ice is key. Make sure to have enough ice and have it ready to keep things quick. I use the YETI ice bucket and keep it to the side every time I have people over. I actually have two, one for ice and one for beer on ice. Have glassware frozen ahead of time if possible. Make a cocktail menu, 2 to 3 drinks tops. People like a menu, trust me. Keep the ingredients simple and minimal. We used cinnamon syrup twice for example. If you are doing a do it yourself, drink station, lay out garnishes and glassware ahead of time. WINTER OLD FASHIONED 1.5 cups or 14 oz Whiskey ¾ cups or 6 oz Calvados or Apple Brandy ¼ cup or 2 oz 2:1 cinnamon syrup 32 dashes angostura bitters SPICED TOMMYS MARGARITA 2 cups or 16 oz Anejo Tequila 1 cup of 8 oz Lime Juice ½ cup or 4 oz 2:1 cinnamon syrup Cinnamon Syrup: Combine 1 oz crushed cassia cinnamon bark + 1.5 cups water + 3 cups fine sugar. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, remove from heat, let sit 12 hours, strain. @YETI #YETI_Partner #Ad #BuiltForTheWild

TIKI NEGRONI (Tequila Edition): 1 oz Pineapple LALO 1 oz Banana Peel Vermouth 1 oz Coconut Campari - My original used Planteray Pineapple Rum if you wanna try both ways. Infusions: – 16 oz LALO + pineapple scraps – 16 oz sweet vermouth + 2 banana peels – 16 oz Campari + 2 oz coconut oil For the Campari: this is a fat wash—let it infuse, freeze to solidify the fat, remove, then fine strain.

WHITE NEGRONI 1.5 oz Gin 1 oz lillet Blanc 3/4 oz Suze This is a good example of - some drinks shouldn’t be equal parts. This was created as an equal parts cocktail originally. There’s an argument the OG Negroni shouldn’t be equal parts. Suze is bitter, gentian forward and pairs well with Pineapples. Add a tsp of pineapple liqueur to this an have yourself a fine time. Lillet can be subbed with other blanc vermouths. Cocchi Americano would work too. You wanna use up vermouth? Drink it on the rocks, add club soda and a citrus peel. It slaps. The White Negroni was created by British bartender Wayne Collins in 2001.

though. LAST WORD - EQUAL PARTS Green Chartreuse Maraschino Liqueur A basic Gin Lime Juice Not a bad drink for me, just not a great one. This one was so popular during covid, it was guaranteed to get engagement, like the old fashioned or even a Paloma. Classic cocktails are definitely more well known these days, because of social media. I like my job, thank you guys for the nice comments etc, I appreciate it.

1.5 cup sugar 36 oz Almond Milk 24 oz Heavy Cream 16 oz Cognac, Rum, whiskey, or tequila 16 oz cream sherry 12 drops vanilla extract 6 drops almond extract 1 tablespoon grated nutmeg, or to taste Salt These measurements in the caption are correct, I mess up what I say on camera sometimes but the captions always right, well, usually. You can make your nog now so it’s ready for later. Let this be a template for you. Maybe use a different sherry or sub some sherry for banana liqueur and use some aged tequila. The world’s your oyster. Or use this recipe because it slaps. You’re welcome to add more booze but you will lose a little thickness in doing so but party on I won’t stop you.
