Not every comeback is easy, but this one’s worth supporting ❤️ We went back to Bear West BBQ and were so happy that they were able to restart quickly. The guy in line in front of us said he knows the owner and suggested a few of his favorites! And we’re SO glad we took his recommendation. The Tri tip sandwich and the Gumbo Greens were soo good. The meat plates was loaded but bbq sauce on top, at least for the Pulled Pork would be the move for next time. They’re also having events like Cars & Cards, with nice cars, Pokémon card raffles, gift cards, etc. Here’s what we got: 🧇 Katsu Chicken & The “Waffle Nut” - $21.95 (the chicken was super crispy and we both love the subtle hint of coconut flavor from the waffle - 9.5/10) 🍛 Genki Loco Moco - $22.95 (the brown gravy elevated the whole dish, the tornado egg added a nice touch as well - 9.5/10) 🥞 Genki Okonomiyaki - $16.95 (this was very unique and the pancake itself kinda reminds us of Takoyaki - 7.5/10) 🍟 Genki Poutine - $13.95 (so simple but the curry on top makes the whole thing very comforting, just a bit more cheese and bacon would make it even better - 8/10) 🍞 Shoku Pan Toast - $4.50 (we demolished it! Always worth the drive to Roseville🤤🥔🍫 Chokberry now has a baked potato brand in the same trailer called @Patata so we stopped by last week and it’s nothing like what we expected. Always worth the drive to Roseville🤤🥔🍫 Chokberry now has a baked potato brand in the same trailer called @Patata so we stopped by last week and it’s nothing like what we expected. Now I don’t have to choose between a Pho or a Banh Mi 😂 We went to Banh Mi Mi for breakfast and got 2 drinks, 2 banh mi. The Banh Mis were solid, the Pho Banh Mi was so simple but also so creative at the same time. The braised beef was so soft! It literally felt like we were eating Pho in sandwich form! The 2 drinks were good, but the pumpkin spice flavor didn’t come thru as much as we’d like! The pork rice bowl was so good tho. The pork has so much flavor and we both loved the pickled veggies and the side of sauce they have.
