I was scrolling through TikTok about 6 months ago and came across this Green Beret walking through the woods with his dog talking about philosophy. I knew I needed to meet him. We started doing a few coaching sessions and he asked me to make a list of 309 things to do before I die (you know the list). Meet Cam King (@ckcollective.co). I’ve been SO excited to publish this episode. It’s a meaty one. He’s not your average dude. And this is not your average conversation about masculinity. In this episode, we go deep into: - Why so many men are quietly breaking down after heartbreak - How to actually *move on* (hint: it’s not another rebound) - Cam’s rule for turning pain into power - The *real* reason modern relationships are falling apart - Why men struggle to define who they want to become—and how to finally figure it out - And the viral origin story of the “300 Things to Do Before You Die” bucket list Whether you’re navigating a breakup, trying to understand the men in your life, or rebuilding yourself from the ground up, this one hits hard. Cam helped me through one of the most confusing chapters of my life. And in this episode, we’re passing that torch to you. Link in bio. Enjoy.

You don't need to be 100% healed to date again. We're complex people living in a complex world. Everyone has baggage. The point of partnership is to help each other heal and walk each other back home. Be 70% there, communicate your triggers, support each other's growth. Heal intentionally but don't wait for perfection.

This little bucket list project kind of exploded. Tens of thousands of you sent me your lists. DMs, comments, questions...so many beautiful responses. But also a lot of questions. So I sat down and recorded a Q+A episode answering the ones I kept hearing: • “Why 300 things?” • “How do you keep from getting overwhelmed?” • “What if I don’t want to do everything on my list?” • “What’s the point of making a list at all?” This episode is for anyone who’s been part of the journey so far (or anyone ready to start their own). 🎧 Full episode is live now at the link in bio. And yes, you should make the list.

I started The Optimist because I couldn’t stop noticing the same thing over and over: Men are unhealthy. And no one’s really talking about it in a way that feels honest, grounded, and real. We’re here to change that. Listen to the weekly podcast at our link in bio, follow along on your favorite platforms, and share with a friend who could benefit from this.
