We’ve been with Wrexham for what seems like the blink of an eye, but so much has happened. I remember the first press conference, we were asked what our goals were… and I think Rob jumped in with, “The Premiere League.” People laughed. They had every right to. It seemed insane… But we weren’t kidding. I feel at home here. It’s a place that values community, decency and history. From the respect it pays to the Gresford Disaster, to the feeling of hope and miracles created by Mickey Thomas. These are big reasons Wrexham is growing into what it always was. It isn’t just a place with a history of ups and downs, it’s also a FEELING. And a feeling is sometimes as good or better than a memory. We made history. We’ve been promoted for a record third time in a row. That doesn’t happen without the wisdom of Phil Parkinson and his coaching staff, or the talent of Paul Mullin. It doesn’t happen without Max Cleworth and Arthur Okonkwo. Or Mark Howard who may have one of the hardest jobs there is. I watched Sam Smith create a frightening blend between football and martial arts, scoring our second goal yesterday. The Stadium feels like a church. I know so many of you now. Since February, 2021, I’ve watched babies become regulars. And some regulars depart us for good. We’ve had the honour to scatter ashes of loved ones across that field. I’ve even watched every available hand shovel snow off the pitch to keep a match from cancellation. Somebody said the Welsh have the “heart of a poet and the fist of a fighter.” That’s what I love about this place. I wish the whole world could visit Wrexham. Diolch. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Gut punch… Ollie is a big reason we’re in this league today. Not to mention the boundless charisma and charm… he harnessed a lifetime of talent, heart and work-ethic to push @wrexham_afc and the town forward. Spending time with Ollie’s incredible family: his wife, Caitlin, amazing kids and his dad, Andy, are forever-memories. Ollie is my friend now and always. The silver lining is @officialstfc is an excellent club and they get to experience that same feeling @robmac and I felt as Ollie steps onto the pitch at The County Ground to push Swindon FC forward and up the pyramid. Thank you, Ollie. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️ P.S. for the love of all that’s holy, DO NOT tell my Mom her boyfriend is changing shirts. Tam-Tam is unpredictable. (SEE LAST SLIDE) Swindon can expect her to storm the pitch to provide fresh orange slices to Ollie without warning. She’s 80 years old. But homegirl is strong. Despite it making no sense at all… she JUST NOW qualified for the 1988 Olympics. We suspect she’s on something a little stronger than calcium supplements. Her birthday card to @thehughjackman said, “Do you even lift, bro?” That it. Not even “Happy birthday”.

The most beautiful campus I’ve ever seen. Thank you @yale_schwarzman for hosting and celebrating your incredible alumnus, @slevydirect. Taking a trip down memory lane, spanning three films my genius friend and brother, Shawn Levy and I have collaborated on. FREE GUY, THE ADAM PROJECT and DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE. Yale obviously churns out some of the most innovative people. They fostered his force of nature vision as a director, writer — and Oscar nominated producer. The school must be so proud of this guy. But for me and so many others, it’s his character, integrity and work ethic which sets him apart. Enormous thanks to @kevinmccarthytv for moderating. He’s behind some of the most insightful interviews of filmmakers in every genre. He LOVES movies and the process behind it. Yale churns out some of the brightest and most innovative people.And I admit… If time travel was even remotely affordable, I’d go back to High School and really apply myself with straight A’s, instead of grades ranging from “NO” to “oh-my-god-NO”, I’d definitely have written one hell of an application to Yale University. And I’d definitely have that rejection letter framed and mounted on my wall with pride. 🎓 *special thank you to “Willverine” for filling in for Hugh. Nobody noticed. Credit: @statikdarkness
