Have you heard? A 28-year-old Roselle man was arrested last week after allegedly kidnapping a woman from the County College of Morris and holding her handcuffed inside his car, authorities said. The case began Dec. 5 after the woman’s parents reported her missing when she failed to pick up her children and could not be reached. Police traced her last location to the college in Randolph, where officers found her car and a damaged phone. Surveillance footage showed a man later identified as Akram Elsayed approaching her and leaving the parking lot in his vehicle. Later that night, police located Elsayed’s car in Andover Township and arrested him after a multi-agency pursuit. Officers found the woman handcuffed inside the vehicle and recovered a handgun near the driver’s door. She was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Elsayed faces numerous charges, including kidnapping, carjacking, burglary, and multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault, and is being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility.
