A Jersey Shore pizzeria is facing major online backlash after photos surfaced showing Nazi and extremist imagery inside the restaurant.

@franconispizza, a longtime staple on the #WildwoodBoardwalk for over 20 years, became the center of controversy over the weekend after several Reddit users posted photos of what appeared to be the restaurant’s kitchen.

One image showed a refrigerator inside the kitchen covered in offensive political and extremist stickers.

Among them were SS bolts and a Totenkopf — both symbols associated with Hitler’s paramilitary Schutzstaffel, and commonly used by neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups today. Other visible stickers included a Confederate flag, several pro-Trump decals, and one that read “Fuck Joe Biden.”

Have you seen this man?

The owner of a Lark Street Music in Teaneck is asking the public for help after a man was caught on surveillance video stealing two rare mandolins from the shop.

The theft happened the afternoon of Dec. 22, when the suspect removed two mandolins from the wall, hid them inside his winter coat, and walked out of the store. Owner Bernard Levine said the instruments — a 1949 Gibson F-12 and a Weber Yellowstone — are valued at $8,000 to $9,000 and are not commonly found in music stores.

After noticing the instruments were missing, Levine reviewed security footage and reported the theft to police. He later shared the video on social media in hopes someone recognizes the suspect or the stolen instruments.

Have you heard?

The incident happened May 3 at Lake Henry in Continental Soldiers Park, where police say the animal charged and bit an 8-year-old boy who was fishing near the shoreline. Authorities later learned the beaver had also approached or attacked other visitors earlier in the day.

Animal control officers captured the beaver after it showed signs of illness, and testing later confirmed it had rabies. Anyone who may have come into contact with the animal is being urged to seek medical attention and contact the Mahwah Township Health Department.

Officials reminded residents to avoid wildlife, noting that any warm-blooded animal can carry rabies. While beavers are generally not aggressive toward humans, experts say unusual behavior can occur if the animal is sick, threatened, or infected with rabies.

What we know👇

Teresa Dunsheath, a New Jersey woman, has issued a public apology after a viral video showed her hurling antisemitism at a Jewish family following a minor traffic crash in Manalapan on Christmas Day.

The incident occurred near the Manalapan Police Station after the family was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. Video shared online by one of the victims shows Dunsheath standing outside their vehicle and repeatedly making antisemitic remarks, even as she appeared aware she was being recorded.

The family said the crash happened after the other driver was distracted by an unsecured dog. They described the confrontation as shocking and said it has heightened safety concerns within the local Jewish community.

After the video spread widely on social media, Dunsheath released a written apology, saying she was “deeply ashamed,” accepted full responsibility, and acknowledged that nothing justified her behavior. She asked that her family not be harassed as a result.

As of the latest update, Manalapan police have not said whether the incident is being reviewed as a bias-related case or whether any charges will be filed.

An 8-year-old child was saved Monday after jumping from the second floor of a burning home in Asbury Park and into the arms of two police officers and a neighbor, authorities said.

Police Officers Dewitt Bacon and John Walsh, along with local resident Joseph Dunbar, caught the child after urging them to leap from the Prospect Avenue home. Video released Tuesday shows the moment the child pushed out the window screen before jumping to safety.

“Asbury Park police officers train for fast-moving, dangerous situations, and yesterday’s rescue shows the value of that training and the strength of our community,” said Police Director John B. Hayes.

Hayes praised the bravery of everyone involved, noting the child’s courage in making the jump. No further injuries were reported.

What are your thoughts?

Montvale police released a dramatic video showing a 15-year-old e-bike rider slamming into a car to highlight the dangers of reckless riding.

The July 18 crash occurred when a car made a legal left turn out of a gas station and the teen, estimated to be traveling 40 mph, struck the vehicle’s side and flipped onto its roof, Chief Douglas McDowell said. The boy was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.

McDowell said summonses may be issued to both the teen and the driver. The department shared the video as a warning about the risks of high-speed e-bike riding.

A Belmar man has been arrested after allegedly pulling his SUV in front of two bicyclists and punching one of them in the face, leaving the 70-year-old victim with a broken jaw that required surgery.

Police say Anthony Alvear, of Belmar, stopped his dark-blue Kia SUV near 12th and D streets Friday afternoon, shouted at the cyclists, and then struck the victim with a closed fist while cursing at him. The assault was captured on a neighbor’s Ring camera, which shows the victim falling to the ground as Alvear drove off, using profanities and a homophobic slur.

Witnesses rushed to help the injured man, who was later taken for treatment.

Police identified Alvear the same day but did not find him at his home until Sunday, when he was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault and issued a summons for a noise violation. He is being held at the Monmouth County Jail.

What are your thoughts?

ICE is considering a 470,000-square-foot vacant warehouse off Route 46 in Roxbury as a potential site for a new immigrant detention center, triggering rapid pushback from local officials and advocacy groups.

According to organizers, a leaked ICE document revealed the exact address of the proposed site and a 9 a.m. site visit scheduled with less than 12 hours’ notice. By early morning, multiple organizations were on the ground conducting surveillance to confirm the visit and document activity. Black SUVs believed to be carrying federal officials were spotted outside the warehouse as the tour took place.

Township leaders said they were not notified in advance. After learning of the visit, Roxbury officials and the police chief went to the site and met with ICE representatives and the building owner to raise concerns about public safety, traffic, limited police and volunteer fire resources, and water and sewer capacity.

The night before the visit, the Roxbury Township Council unanimously passed a resolution opposing an ICE detention center in the township. Demonstrators from the No ICE North Jersey Alliance also protested near the site along Route 46.

Advocacy groups say their next step is to press the Town Council to change zoning ordinances immediately to block the project before it advances. Township officials said site selection is still months away but emphasized transparency and resident safety as priorities. The warehouse, built just a few years ago, remains vacant. ICE and leasing agents did not immediately comment.

From today👇

The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office is investigating a firearm discharge involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Roxbury Township on Monday morning.

Acting Attorney General Jennifer Davenport said the incident involved ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations unit and happened around 7 a.m. in the Landing section of the township. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses said the incident occurred on Landing Road near the Lake Hopatcong Foundation building. A dashcam video posted online appears to show an officer pointing a gun at a man who had exited a pickup truck and was ordered to get on the ground.

Davenport said the scene was secured with help from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and that the state’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is conducting an independent investigation.

The incident shut down Landing Road for much of the day and sparked widespread rumors online. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.

Former New Jersey State Trooper Shane H. Dempsey, 32, of Brick, faces more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an undercover sting in which he arranged to meet someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Dempsey used the social media app Whisper last summer to exchange messages with an undercover detective posing as the minor. He allegedly requested explicit images, offered to pay for sexual acts, and drove to a planned meeting in his police vehicle.

Dempsey pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted sexual assault and third-degree official misconduct. Under the plea deal, prosecutors will recommend a seven-year prison sentence, with no parole eligibility for two years. He must also register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, face lifetime monitoring, forfeit his law enforcement position, and is permanently barred from public employment.

Dempsey, who joined the state police pension system in 2017 and earned $80,704 annually, will be sentenced Nov. 21.

A former church official in Monmouth County has been charged with embezzling more than $500,000 from the Church of Saint Leo the Great in Lincroft, authorities announced.

Joseph A. Manzi, 78, of Atlantic Highlands, allegedly used church credit cards and cash funds for personal expenses while serving as the church’s director of finance, operations, and development. His employment ended in June 2025 after an internal audit uncovered financial irregularities, triggering a state investigation.

According to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Manzi spent over $300,000 on church credit cards and diverted about $200,000 in cash between 2019 and 2025. The alleged spending included a Cadillac SUV, luxury clothing, home repairs, medical bills, fishing trips, and sports tickets.

Attorney General Matthew Platkin said Manzi “used his position of trust to live a more lavish lifestyle,” adding that such conduct “will not be tolerated.”

Manzi was charged with second-degree theft by unlawful taking, which carries a possible sentence of five to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $150,000. The case is being prosecuted by the state Division of Criminal Justice, with assistance from local authorities.

Asbury Park, is stepping firmly into the luxury spotlight with the debut of Lido Asbury Park, a high-end waterfront development. The project made headlines after one of its penthouses sold for a record-breaking $7.6 million—making it the most expensive condo ever sold in New Jersey.

Slated for completion in 2027, the eight-story, 112-residence complex at 1201 Ocean Avenue features interiors by Clodagh Design and resort-style amenities across nearly 50,000 square feet. Units start at $825,000 and top out over $8 million.

The record-setting penthouse boasts 3,600 square feet of interior space, 2,400 square feet of outdoor terraces, a rooftop plunge pool, outdoor kitchen, and double-height living room.

Developer Ralph Zucker called Lido a response to the town’s rising demand for high-end, full-service living. “We didn’t try to reinvent Asbury Park we embraced its character and built on it,” he said.

Asbury Park’s transformation is part of a broader luxury boom along the Jersey Shore, with major investments in places like Atlantic City, Cape May, and Long Branch.

What are your thoughts? - You can find breaking news like this & more by downloading the @towns_of app — link in bio. #monmouthcounty #monmouthcountynj #njnews #jerseyshore #asburyparknj #asburypark #townsofnewjersey
What are your thoughts?

A 62-year-old woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly driving her car into a crowd of anti-ICE protesters during an immigration rally in Fairview, New Jersey, on Saturday.

Fairview police say Linda Roglen of North Bergen has been charged with assault by auto resulting in injury and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. The incident began with a verbal altercation between Roglen and one of the protesters near the intersection of Fairview and Anderson Avenues. Moments later, she reportedly drove into the group, striking several people before fleeing.

Multiple protesters were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident, caught on camera, remains under investigation. Authorities have not said whether the protester who spit may also face charges.

Protest organizers condemned both the violent response and the initial provocation, urging safer, more responsible behavior during public demonstrations.
