In particular, I was curious about the difference between an MTL bagel VS an NYC bagel. This has been an ongoing debate between Montrealers and New Yorkers. I knew I had to put two HUGE brands in both cities to the test. 🔥 Montreal bagel from: @fairmountbagel - Lighter on the stomach - More airy dough - Larger hole in the middle - Cream cheese filling tastes more like cheese - Better for breakfasts; cream cheese, jams, etc New York City bagels from: @libertybagelsny - Heavier on the stomach - Dough is dense and exterior of bagel is crispy - Smaller hole in the middle - Cream cheese filling very similar to a cream cheese frosting filling - Probably better for sandwiches since the hole is smaller, less toppings fall out What are your thoughts?
