#ad What I like about @cutwaterspirits is that their variety of quality cocktails allow you to enjoy all year round as the seasons change. Ready-to-enjoy cocktails definitely have their place—whether it’s while having friends over, at a concert, or sitting around the campfire. This time I’m showing off their Espresso Martini, which seems to be a crowd favorite. I gave it a seasonal twist with pumpkin whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. ’Tis the season.
Recipe:

– 1 can Cutwater Espresso Martini

– Frozen coupe glass

– Pumpkin whipped cream

– Freshly grated nutmeg

Pumpkin Whipped Cream using an isi whipper

1 cup heavy cream (cold)

2 tbsp pumpkin purée (smooth, canned works great)

1–2 tbsp maple syrup (or sugar, to taste)

½ tsp pumpkin pie spice (or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove)

½ tsp vanilla extract

Can you beat the classic espresso tini? I don’t think so.

Yeah, it’s fun to swap things out and get creative—but the classics never die.

This one’s made with Svedka Vodka:
1.5 oz vodka
1.5 oz espresso
0.5 oz coffee liqueur
0.25 oz rich syrup

I don’t do the espresso beans on top… I hit it with a little orange oil instead. Not so classic, but it’s tasty.

I didn’t expect a peppermint White Russian to be my thing… but this one this one hits different this time of year. It’s a tasty treat. Sip it fireside or wrapped in a flannel blanket and you’ll feel quite cozey.

My Peppermint White Russian:

• 1 CUTWATER PEPPERMINT White Russian
• Frozen rocks glass
• 1 large rock
• 1 @lindt_usa Peppermint truffle
• Mint candy rim

CARAJILLO

This version uses equal parts Jack Daniel’s Bonded Tennessee Whiskey, Licor 43, and fresh espresso, shaken hard and strained into a chilled coupe or over ice. The reason it works so well is the Bonded’s 100 proof, which gives the whiskey enough weight to stand up to the espresso, while Bottled-in-Bond standards (one distillery, one distillation season, at least four years, no additives) which gives us a delightful and consistent whiskey. Jack Daniel’s charcoal mellowing keeps it easy to sip or mix without stripping any character, and Licor 43 bridges vanilla and citrus notes into the coffee instead of masking the whiskey. I’m a genuine fan of the Bonded series for cocktails and the Single Barrels are also amazing. Highly recommend. @jackdaniels_us

Before I tried this @shinerspirits ‘Shine, I wasn’t sure what to expect—clear whiskeys can be hit or miss. But this one was really nice. It’s got a touch of sweetness, a smooth, almost fat-washed texture, and some nice depth from the four-grain blend. It’s bold, well-crafted, and straight outta Texas. Props to the team behind it.

You win some you lose some

On my way to the skatepark I was thinking, I could still be working a landscaping job I absolutely hated right now, but instead I’m making a day in the life edit. That totally rules. Will I make money off this video? No, not a dime. But content is content. Something I learned over some time while being in this niche is you never know who is watching. You never know when an opportunity will pop up because of a random video. So many partnerships have come from rad people who follow me that happen to work with brands.

P.s. Jessup Grip tape is absolute garbage. Black Magic or pepper grip from now on.

I tried making my own cola syrup with a little help from Meta AI — and then whipped up a non-alcoholic Fernet and Coke. Nice and easy. Meta AI is very useful when you know when and how to use it. It can save me a lot of time and help me stay organized, while the fun and creative side of things still falls on me. Go check out the new upgraded Meta AI app @meta @meta.ai #MetaPartner

IN COLD BLOOD
1 oz Rye
1 oz Cynar
1 oz sweet vermouth
Flakey Salt and a thick lemon disc

This cocktail is from @huntandalpine @andrewmvolk and it is one I have been posting since we started posting content. It’s simple but hits the spot. For this time of year it doesn’t get much better. If you are scared of Negronis, try this instead. Shout out to New England, we rule.

BEERICANO

For me, this drink slaps. Americano is a go-to for me, because it’s refreshing and lighter abv. I didn’t think I’d like a beer version, but I think it’s solid. I love a simple drink that’s done well. Give me an ice cold americano, and I am happy. Lately I have been posting less and that’s because I really only post what I want to, so I don’t get burnt out. I appreciate you all watching my videos for the past 5 years. It's hard to believe it’s been 5 years. This isn't an original, just a re-creation.

@deschutesbrewery makes the Kirkland lager and it rules.

BEERICANO
1.25 oz Sweet Vermouth
1.25 oz Campari
4 to 5 oz Pilsner
Beer foam and two drops of salt (I forgot the salt)
Lemon or orange peel

Everything should be ice cold!

JACK ESPRESSO MARTINI
1.5 oz Jack Daniel’s Bonded Tennessee Whiskey
1.5 oz Espresso
½ oz Coffee Liqueur
¼ oz 2:1 syrup

@jackdaniels_us

Everyone loves and espresso martini. Anytime of year a whiskey espresso martini slaps but I think even more so in the winter. Definitely try out the Bonded collection from Jack Daniel’s. They make incredible whiskey. Their single barrels (their single barrel select) is what got me into sipping whiskey so I was hyped to work with them on them in this cocktail.

I took two months off from skating and I can feel it. Still a good time though. I have not done one of these videos in a minute. Thanks for the likes, comments, and watching the fun variety of videos we do. I haven’t really filmed in a while, which used to scare me to take a break but you guys are always here when I get back to it. I appreciate ya! It’s the weekend let’s go have some beers.

TEXAS BLOODY MARY
4 oz Bloody Mix
¾ oz Cask Strength Rye
¾ oz Cask Strength Bourbon
¼ oz Lime or Lemon Juice

Do you want a pick me up on your Sunday Brunch? This is it. Last time I was sipping the rye and bourbon, I thought I bet this would be solid in a Bloody Mary, so here it is. The @stillatx whiskey works so well and stands up to the flavors we have going on in our mix. And let’s not forget the snack on top. Everyone likes a snack.

BLOODY MARY MIX
21 oz Organic tomato juice
1 oz Hot sauce
1 oz Worcestershire
1 oz Horseradish
1 oz fresh dill
1 oz Pepper Juice

DEFTONES - ESPRESSO - DOG

I have always wanted some sort of wood accents for this espresso machine. Finally, it has happened. It totally changes the look and I love it. I really enjoyed making this video and throwing in some music I like. I appreciate y’all watching these and letting me post things I enjoy. Thanks!

P.s. Hazelnut milk sucks, never again. I think in a iced latte or a chai it could be nice but it sucks hot and isn’t worth learning in my opinion 🤷

BBQ BAR NUTS
It may be a dry month for some, and respect to that, but SWEET BABY RAY’S isn’t dry — and neither are these BBQ bar nuts. We’re fully committed to a moist January: saucy, salty, a little sticky, and extremely snackable.

3 cups mixed nuts
1 cup SWEET BABY RAY’S BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Salt to taste
Bake for around 35 min. Mix every 7 minutes or so. Let cool on a separate baking sheet. Bam!
Daiquiri
2 oz Rum
¾ oz Lime Juice
½ oz 2:1 simple syrup
I’m pumped to do a video with SWEET BABY RAY’S. Me and my friends grew up on this stuff so this sauce brings some nostalgia.

2 oz Still Austin Cask Strength Rye
¼ oz Demerara Syrup 2:1
4 dashes aromatic bitters

The smoked cocktails had their time in instagram and you know what? I’m doing one. Why wouldn’t you want a fun/smokey treat this time of year with some spice from the @stillatx cask strength rye. Practice makes improvement.
People think they need better gear. You don’t. A $600 espresso machine with reps behind it will beat a $7,000 setup with no experience. There’s no magic milk pitcher. I’ve got my dream setup and still mess up pours. Taste matters most anyway — latte art is a bonus. Also non dairy milk can be a challenge sometimes.

Same with content. I thought I needed crazy cameras and lights and it would boost me to better engagement. We’ve filmed on an iPhone for 5 years — not even the newest one. No special editing app or camera shortcuts you into engagement. It’s just learning as you go and upgrading when you really need to I guess.

Start small. Use what you have. Upgrade later. Espresso, cocktails, baking, content, or even putting together outfits. 🤷

Have you ever shaken a clarified cocktail? You can make a sours without the egg white. It’s pretty cool. @kevin_kos did a video on it and he has a great YouTube channel. BUT some of you guys told me about shaking clarified cocktails a long time ago, so ya never know who thinks of something first.

This Amaretto sour is from @grandarmybar - I just clarified their version. I like it.

2 cups Amaretto
1 cup Lemon Juice
1/4 cup Campari
3/4 cup Milk

If yours doesn’t come out like mine, then you didn’t do what I did 🤷 - I always show everything I do, step by step. The straining is the most important part, swapping containers at the right time and not too soon. You guys do great, I am always impressed.

Slow Sundays

I never really know what to say as a caption for these videos, but I enjoy making them. People ask about the wood structure my machine sits on. I made that. It’s not anything fancy, and it was made to fit in a small area and take up minimal space. Whenever we move down the road what I really want is an old antique work bench so I can space everything out a little. But for now, I enjoy this little espresso station and it continues to evolve.
