And what always stood out to me from the start was the wand. My product developer brain clocked immediately that she’s shaped a little differently than the classic wire brushes we’re all used to. When we started this journey, no one was talking about where products were made, much less applicators. Or how juicy a flocking was. Now? @Huda’s calling out a Japanese-made applicator and a German-engineered barrel, and as a beauty product developer who develops in the global market, I can confidently tell you that this definitely matters. These production choices hint at quality, precision, and intention. But what do they mean for the quality and performance? As we continue to evaluate we can talk more about performance as we are still testing. She’s buildable and versatile too, which I love. And we’ve been waiting, this house renovation is the chance we got to open it! From a Korean beauty brand @unleashia, whose lips products I’ve used before but not their cushions. And while sorting through everything I was immediately excited. The formula looks beautiful, but it was the packaging that really intrigued me. Just something to be aware of when shopping! As we went on we also saw it on some @kosas baked blushes and then even in Italy when checking out @nablacosmetics. As a product developer, the very first thing I clock when I’m scanning a shelf is packaging, and this applicator immediately stood out to me because I could tell it was custom and not something stock I’ve seen done before in the USA market. They did something genuinely novel here by expanding on one of their most iconic franchises in a way that feels very on-brand and very intentional, and I think longtime Benefit fans are going to appreciate this. @rarebeauty’s new Eau de Parfum might smell amazing, but the packaging is what really makes her special IMHO. @selenagomez worked with hand therapists and engineers to design a bottle that’s actually easy to hold, press, and open especially for anyone with dexterity challenges. It’s so special to see this deep of love and intention being put into a product, but I’d expect nothing less from Rare. The oversized pump takes barely any pressure to mist, the curved shape of the bottle actually fits naturally in your hand, and the twisting lock cap feels so intuitive (and great for travel!) There’s real thought behind it and that’s the kind of design the beauty industry needs more of. We love to see it! 👏❤️ #thelipsticklesbians #rarebeauty #fragrance
