It’s been almost four years since @harrystyles released his last album, Harry’s House, and the long wait for its follow up is finally over: his fourth album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, is out on 6th March. Bit of a mouthful, but it’s good to be back.

For the very first issue of THE FACE, @collierschorrstudio photographed Harry in this cover shoot styled by our Fashion Director @reed_danny. Swipe for more and hit the link in bio for the full story by @treytaylor.

Bad Bunny made history last night.

As the first first Latin solo artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, the pressure on the musician, who was born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was already immense. And against the backdrop of ICE raids and intolerance in America, his joyful, unifying show felt like a gesture of optimism.

Creative director @harrietcuddeford had the honour of bringing Bad Bunny’s vision to life for the show, alongside designer @yellowstudionyc. The elaborate set was inspired by Bad Bunny’s home country of Puerto Rico, and he was joined by an 80 per cent Latino cast.

“The creation of the show was a close collaboration between us, as well as between members of our teams,” Harriet told THE FACE. “Benito was very focused on representing his culture and community, as well as bringing forward a message of love and togetherness.”

Yep, the rumours are true: THE FACE is closing.

After initially running from 1980-2004, we relaunched in 2019 for a new era. The mission was to honour the magazine’s iconic legacy while making people feel excited to be alive at this specific moment in time. We hoped THE FACE might express some positivity for the future, no matter how bleak the headlines can get.

We’re taking this opportunity to thank every member of staff who has worked at THE FACE over the last seven years, as well as all the photographers, stylists, writers, videographers, producers, PRs, advertisers, agents, couriers, and readers who have made invaluable contributions.

And an extra special thank you to all the people who’ve inspired us – by throwing a party, experimenting with style, picking up a mic or raising a placard. We searched for stories everywhere, from London and New York to Paris, Kingston, Kyiv, Lagos, Gaza, Seoul, and Salford. We found that the spirit of the youth is as powerful as ever.

Relaunching THE FACE was a daunting job, and it was a life-affirming honour. For those of you who will shape the future of culture media, we hope you tell your stories with the energy and nuance they deserve.

We’ve got a few more beautiful covers to drop in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned.

And remember: nothing comes close to THE FACE.

Tour buses, late night flights and – according to his lyrics – a lot of partying: Lone’s life might be moving at breakneck speed, but he still finds the time to look after himself and his skin. Alongside his cutting-edge sound, he’s earned a reputation for his sharp style and re-twists, which are always dip-dyed platinum blonde, silver or purple.

Every day this week, we’re sharing an installment of our Daily Beauty Rituals series. In this one, Lone tells us about using @Dior lip oil, turmeric masks and Cosrx Snail Mucin – he clearly knows his stuff. But when it comes to fragrance, there’s no use in faffing about.

When our autumn cover star @mothercain was writing her 2022 debut album Preacher’s Daughter, she was deeply inspired by the Southern Gothic. Growing up in a small town in the Florida panhandle, Anhedönia was part of a Southern Baptist community, before she became fascinated with true crime, horror and non-secular music, leaving the church at 16.

Preacher’s Daughter tells tales of sex, religion, and poverty via poignant Americana, sepia-toned piano balladry, and bombastic classic rock. In this piece from the archive, she explains what the Southern Gothic concept means to her.

2025 has been a banner year for @bassvictim

When the London-based duo – featuring Polish singer Maria Manow and American producer Henry ‘Ike’ Clateman – first dropped music in 2023, they instantly got a lot of people talking. Their disorientating and distortion-damaged style was dubbed ‘basspunk’, and they churned out euphoric and trashy underground anthems like Canary Wharf Drift and Air on a G String. With their no-budget visual aesthetic and their chaotic Instagram stories, they attracted more attention than most PR-friendly new bands could hope for.

In January they dropped the album Bassspunk 2 and they evolved their sound for November’s LP Forever. Maria and Ike embarked on a 23 date tour across North America and Europe, concluding with shows earlier this month in Poznań, Warsaw and Kraków. Having grown up in the small city of Bydgoszcz, Maria proudly reps her heritage with the occasional Polish lyric and ad-lib onstage and in the studio. So understandably, the Polish fans went wild.

@mrcameron_winter’s band @geesebandnyc formed during high school in 2016, but they’ve recently gone from buzzed-about Brooklyn wunderkinds to being hailed as “Gen Z’s first great American rock band” and getting a Cillian Murphy co-sign.

The foundations for this Adderall rapid rise were in no small part laid out at the end of 2024, when Winter quietly released his solo debut, Heavy Metal, to rapturous reviews and an audience unprepared for quite how deeply they would fall in love with him.

Geese are back in the spotlight with their best and most recent album, Getting Killed, a record which signals an explosive doubling down of focus, energy and flair. If Heavy Metal was Cameron Winter’s own personal headache, then Getting Killed is the band’s rock ‘n’ roll trepanation.

The day after a buzzy Geese show at East London’s @thegeorgetavern, Winter met with @henrybrucejones to discuss his complex connection with the canonical rock songwriters, as well as his apparent allergy to all the hype.

A lot of music lovers feel like the algorithm has too much power over our music taste, and that slow burner records might get missed if artists don’t have viral potential. But every now and then, our phone screens serve us something really special.

@preciousreneetucker started building an audience last year with self-shot videos of her playing keyboards and pianos at home in Arkansas. There’s something spellbinding about Tucker’s experimental style of playing, as well as the passion and focus she quietly demonstrates in the lo-fi clips – some of which have hundreds of thousands of likes.

After performing at a @saintheron event in New York last November, Tucker stunned London audiences at two shows in the Holy Trinity Church, which were curated and produced by @prologue.live.

For her latest project, Tucker has teamed up with choreographer @ericvonchristison for an interpretation of Waltz in C Sharp Minor. In the video, which was filmed at London’s Moth Club and styled by @tamararothstein1, the duo are dressed in garments by @martine_rose.

Beneath the stillness of Torvajanica, Italy, a quiet revolution is unfolding among the region’s trans community.

Father Andrea Conocchia first noticed the trans women during the pandemic. The priest had been transferred to Torvajanica, a sleepy coastal town 30 minutes from Rome, just a few months earlier, when he became aware of a distinct group joining the queue for aid outside his rectory. “At first, it was maybe six of them,” the Father tells THE FACE. “But as [word] spread, around 150 girls showed up.”

The 150 girls in question are all South American, many middle-aged, who have settled in Torvajanica and its surrounding areas over the last three decades. They had come in search of cheaper, quieter living conditions, and their existence had largely been confined to the shadows, given many of them are sex workers.

With the pandemic abruptly shutting down their ability to make a living, the church became their only hope for survival. More than that, it became a bridge between their latent spirituality and the wider world.

Last September, photographer @jesse_glazzard travelled to Torvajanica to photograph some of the women in their homes. Read @naomiaccardi’s feature – which is printed in the winter issue of THE FACE – at the link in bio.

Over the last couple of weeks, THE FACE’s team has kept hearing the same question: “Have you been to Lost yet?”

Lost is run by an “artist-led collective” frustrated by the erosion of decent nightlife (since 2020, more than one in four late night UK venues has closed). They’ve somehow got the keys to the former Odeon Cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue, central London, which was once the legendary Saville Theatre. And across multiple rooms they’re throwing parties that include surprise DJ sets, live rappers and bands, art exhibits, erotic cinema and very stylish crowds.

On Fridays and Saturdays, they’re going to 6am. They also make punters put their phones away in pouches – which is why it hasn’t been all over your Instagram stories.

“Lost resists what London has become: predictable, dull, shaped by algorithms,” the collective says in a statement. “We demand more venues for art, film and new ideas. More culture, more connection, fewer empty buildings, soulless over-designed spaces and corporate chains.”
