Despite our 12-year age gap, in so many ways I looked up to you. I will miss sharing hotel rooms in Paris and Milan, our endless conversations, and most of all your energy. Your warmth. Your light. 40 or 35? I’ve been quietly saving for a Birkin bag, the icon, the classic, and the moment has finally arrived. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy famously favored the 40. The prototype of the original Birkin bag designed for Jane Birkin (sold at Sotheby’s last week for €8.6 million) was a unique blend of the two. The very first Birkin is as tall as a Birkin 40, as deep and wide as a Birkin 35. To help me decide, I turned to @saclab_official, a personal service specializing in pre-owned bags for a hands-on experience with the sizes (and a deep dive into neutral color tones). I think I’ve finally made up my mind... But I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Fellow co-sleeping parents will totally get why we went with a full-size canopy single instead of a junior bed (by @petiteamelie), because yes, one of us will definitely be sleeping there too

I loved the “Le Palmier” 80s hairstyles, especially the inspiration behind them: Simon’s daughter Mia’s palm tree ponytail, which made me miss Olive wearing hers like that too. After the show, we debriefed over martinis with my girlfriends, completely in love with the skirt suits and the Paloma Picasso inspired dress. We ended up holding space for it all. Thank you to the entire team for having me. An unforgettable show 🍸
