‘The emotional core of this collection was revealed to me while I was on a creative retreat outside of Rome. One afternoon, I arranged a last-minute tour to see the Sistine Chapel. 

If you’ve been there, you know that the first thing you see isn’t the ceiling, but the walls, densely painted by an army of artists in the years before Michelangelo began his work in 1508. 
But crane your neck skyward, and thought stops. Feeling begins. That’s because forty years later, one man came in and singlehandedly changed art forever. Here is agony and ecstasy comingled, terrible and exquisite. He didn’t tell us what happened, but instead gave his audience permission on how to feel when they looked at art. 

It woke up the world. And 500 years later, it woke me up, too. I stopped thinking for the first time in years of how something should look, but instead about how I feel when creating it.
That revelation informed every part of this collection. Sharp strokes and rapid squiggles became scorpion tails. I drew stingers and snake teeth, chimeraed archetypes of couture with venom. I knew these reptilian creatures, these “infantas terribles,” as I called them, would become the heroes of the collection, our ceiling: they’d be birds of flight, defying gravity, bold in color, explosive in silhouette. 

So many people ask me what the point is of couture. It’s certainly not to create clothing for daily life. But for me, couture allows me to connect with the hopeful adolescent I once was, the one who decided to not go into medicine or finance or law, but to chase that singular fantasy that fashion can still provide. Let the rest of the year be about reality. But nothing is more powerful—or timeless—or for me, more now, than getting to unchain my imagination…and, I hope, yours.

‘THE ABYSS’

"Formulas are antithetical to the magic of creation, which can be found only in total surrender to the unknown.
Only when I surrendered to the void did I truly start to enjoy making this collection.
Couture has always transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary. Here, that transformation asked us to think beyond “noble” materials, asking whether beauty resides in the material itself - or in the imagination capable of reinventing it. We paired haute couture techniques with synthetic materials: instead of the traditional silks, satins, and wools, we instead used latex, silicone, pools of paint baked into sheets and sculpted into silhouettes.
And of course, none of this experimentation would have been possible without the extraordinary artisans who work in our ateliers. Their expertise is what gives us the freedom to venture into the unknown in the first place. They remind me that couture’s greatest luxury isn’t its materiality, but the hands that make it.
Perhaps this is Elsa’s greatest legacy: not a vocabulary of symbols, but the belief that impossibility itself can become a creative method.
The moments when certainty disappears are often the moments when something genuinely new becomes possible.

"I’ll be honest. Last season’s collection felt like a kind of a breakthrough, a new benchmark for Schiaparelli. Great, I thought: I’ve cracked the formula. So when I started working on this collection, I was pretty confident: all I had to do was re-create last season’s creative process. I knew the template I had to follow:
Step 1: Go on a trip. Be inspired.
Step 2: Visit an iconic architectural site and have a transcendent experience (for this season, I went to Barcelona to see Gaudi’s work).
Step 3: Come back inspired and away we go! It didn’t work like that.
In trying to control the creative process, and ignoring what the French call ‘l’appel du vide’ -the call of the void- I stifled not only myself, but the work. 
Formulas are antithetical to the magic of creation, which can be found only in total surrender to the unknown.
Only when I surrendered to the void did I truly start to enjoy making this collection. When I found myself searching during this collection, I thought of a 1922 Rainer Maria Rilke poem about mystery, faith, and the unknown, titled “You, Darkness”: it reminded me that while we talk about how couture is something to master, we don’t really think about what true mastery actually means.
Perhaps that is the deepest lesson Elsa left this House: not a vocabulary of symbols, but a permission to believe that impossibility itself can become a creative method. The moments when certainty disappears are often the moments when something genuinely new becomes possible.
So here we go. Take my hand: and jump off with me into the bliss - of the abyss."

Benito wears a custom black and gold threaded "braid" tie, on a white silk shirt and a butter cream double-breasted peak lapel wool and silk suit with matching wide legged trousers. The suit is embellished with bespoke bijoux buttons and lapel pins with the House’s signature Keyhole and Eye details. Styled a glossy black mock croc leather cowboy belt with the signature Anatomy buckle and black leather custom cowboy boots.

Eva’s look is made of 13800 raw silk feathers in 28 shades. 
She wears a bustier gown with a dramatic décolleté embroidered with iridecent absinth green crystal-dipped peacock feathers. Underneath the jupon are stacked layers of black tulle. Bird head earrings holding a green drop in its beak in resin and warm silver. 
Nude satin sandal with an asymmetrical wavy vamp enhanced with a strassed Keyhole and a curved heel.
