Using DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) instead of raw stats, we can see which teams are ACTUALLY elite when you adjust for opponent strength. The Patriots looked dominant this year… until you realize they played the 3rd easiest schedule since 1978. DVOA catches that.
