I came across this post and it hit me deep. Former Juventus academy player Cendrim Kameraj shared a picture of him training alongside Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2018, and him now working in construction at 26 years-old. Represented Switzerland and Kosovo internationally at youth level too. I know we always highlight the best young players who have made it or are coming up… But it’s also important to highlight the other side of the game too. For many, it’s a reality. You may not make it on the pitch, but whatever you go on to do, you’re not a failure. I have so much respect for anyone who picks themself up and earns an honest living. People on the outside don’t know the how tough mentally that is, to be so close, to see people you played alongside making it. Thank you for sharing your story, we are all with you. ❤️🫡
