Last night, the Trump administration removed the original Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument.
The @stonewallnps is the first national park dedicated to LGBTQ+ rights, and today we showed up to fight back. We gathered to listen, to bear witness, and to remind the world that queer history is not disposable.
I’m so proud to be a New Yorker. We will never be erased.
As @angelica_xtina said “we as trans folks warned that when they come for us in broad daylight, they come for ALL OF US in the dead of night. That’s exactly what they did last night, removing the original baker flag. The theft of this flag is an outright assault on the entire LGBTQIA+ community.”
The fight is on.
