[1,200hp Donk/Pre-Runner El Camino SS update] Just a little teaser of our recent progress on the @kingshocks El Camino SS… @brandongerringer just made a set of dies from scratch to form the new wheel arch. We think it’s turning out pretty rad… what do you guys think? + help from @jake_from_statefarm0607 Owners: King Shocks/ @tsunami_tsu
What would you have done differently? After trying to burn out some of the impurities then fill and grind, @brandongerringer decided the dumpster was the logical next step. Sometimes you can weld cast aluminum but whatever this stuff was, it was not happening. (Instead, Paul found an adjustable billet thermostat housing online that should do quite nicely)

Sometimes you can weld cast aluminum but whatever this stuff was, it was not happening. (Instead, Paul found an adjustable billet thermostat housing online that should do quite nicely)

Had to call an audible part way through. Can you tell? The original plan was to merge two elbows at the throttle body but @brandongerringer realized pretty quickly there just wasn’t enough space. Given the right constraints, we think it turned out pretty good. What do you guys think? #aluminumfabrication #oldanvilspeedshop

The plan for this one sounds simple but will require some ingenuity and finesse to actually accomplish. The owner wants to retain 95% of the vintage, patina style of this 1951 Pontiac Chieftain but make it a completely modern and reliable driver underneath. That means we’ll be building a complete custom chassis complete with modern powertrain, electrics and other current-day conveniences but keep it all hidden from sight. This should be a fun one. The car came from another shop and we were “just” finishing the build for our customer. Until of course we realized the paint issue and now we’re also painting it.
Yes those are two Holley carburetors and two Holley EFI fuel rails… Come see us out at @holleylsfest this weekend with the 1967 Chevy “Novacaine” owned by @57puffy_67novacaine AND we’ll have @ray_bayly’s LS3-swapped Triumph TR6 out there running in the Grand Champion class in bare metal! 🤘 This is going to be one seriously rad weekend… #lsfestwest26
