Ask and you shall receive! I know that last video stirred the pot (and maybe a few paint cans) but I stand by what I said. Not all color combos are created equal. Is White Oak now out? - let me explain. White oak isn’t going anywhere, it has too many timeless capabilities in design for it to ever be out, but there is a shift. The shift is starting to bring in more character, if you want a cozy kitchen, coffee stained wood is what’s going to give you just that, it feels like a warm hug, and you just want to be apart of the atmosphere. It’s the architectural equivalent of a vintage leather jacket: sure, you could paint it, but why would you? Updating it without paint keeps it budget-friendly and future-proof—just in case this isn’t your forever home… or you end up selling to someone who actually likes bricks. .

2-Week Update: I can finally get a full night’s sleep!
The first stretch was tough—not because of pain, but because I cannot sleep upright or at an angle. But we made it through. I’m still experiencing some pins and needles as the nerves at the back of my head continue to heal, but overall I’m so happy with how things are looking now that the scabs have all fallen off. What you see now is the shape of my new hairline once everything grows in, which is so exciting. That said, I’m about to enter the dreaded shedding phase—so all of this will fall out soon. It’s definitely a test of patience, but I know the real growth starts in another 3–5 months.
