I want to thank this incredible team for all of their hard work, passion & relentlessness to help me bring this vision to life in under 72 hours. I had this concept brewing for a while, made mood boards filled with imagery & inspiration & I had been working on the music arrangement for 2 weeks. Just when it seemed like this idea was never going to have a life we got the call from Call Her Daddy & ABC. The first call I made was to my dear friend & Executive Producer of this piece @ashleyedens and I asked her “is this impossible to do & are we totally nuts to try and pull this off in this amount of time?” And she said “YES it’s totally nuts.. let’s do it!” From that moment on we were firing on all cylinders and had to build it from total scratch from the choreography, venue, lighting, direction, cameras, dancers, hair, make up, wardrobe, props, art direction, production & editing. Ashley you are a visionary Thank you to @alexandracooper for inviting us to be on your show & for putting this whole thing together with ABC & DWTS. You are an incredible interviewer. As someone who sometimes shies away from interviews you made me feel comfortable & relaxed. Thank you to everybody @abc @dancingwiththestars Conrad Green, Deena Katz & Rob Mills for trusting in me to bring this vision to life on such a big platform for the show. I am extremely grateful. @whitleavitt what a wild ride, thank you for all your hard work, grit, determination & many belly laughs we shared. I’m so proud of you & was so happy to share this experience with you. It’s funny that you got your start on a ‘reality show’ but I got to see & know the real you. Congrats on all the exciting things coming up for you and remember ‘just keep swimming’. To my endlessly loving & supportive wife @bcjean thank you for always being down to go on the adventure & for letting me totally lose myself in my process. I literally couldn’t do any of this without you by my side. Words can not express how grateful I am to have you in my life. WOW.. I can’t believe I’m writing this, it feels like yesterday we were 10 & 11 years old full of dreams & clueless to what life would bring. Then I blinked & I’m wishing you a happy 40th birthday. We have been through IT ALL together & calling you my best friend just isn’t enough. You are my brother. I can’t even begin to tell you how proud of you I am. Not just for all the cool stuff you’ve accomplished because at the end of the day that’s not what truly matters in this life.. What I’m most proud of is the person you’ve become. You are one of the most selfless humans, you are easy to talk to, you are loyal & you take care of the ones you love. However… You are a colossal NIGHTMARE to FaceTime with 🤣🤣🤣. I know you know this already… but I’ve always got your back & whenever you need a Ride or Die I’ll always be there asking… ‘Who’s Car We Gonna Take?’ 🤝🏼 They say ‘Life begins at 40’ So let’s keep this party going for a 100 more. I just wanted to thank everyone for the love on this piece. The work that went into it from everyone on the creative, lighting, hair, make up, wardrobe, set design, the band & camera direction team was STELLAR & I am so incredibly grateful to each and everyone of you. Thank you Thank You @mabardi @philheyes There’s so much more that goes on behind the scenes & I can’t tell you how hard EVERYONE is working to bring this show to life for you all at home 🥰 This was an even more hands on week, from the music edit, to working with the band & singers. Thank you @travisgarland for the incredible vocal, & @raychewlive for the insane live arrangement It was a total joy to be dancing to this song from one of my favorite musicals. Having two of my favorite worlds which are ‘DWTS & Hamilton’ collide was truly special. We really wanted to bring you some theatre this week. Lastly I want to thank my partner @whitleavitt your hard work, grit & determination this week didn’t go unnoticed, I am so proud of your progress. We don’t always get to see the blood sweat and tears that goes into this. But it showed in this dance & I am extremely proud of the work & the fact your children & my son get to watch us do this 🥹 Lastly thank you to the fans for tuning in and voting for your favorites no matter who it is. We do this all for you & it makes me so happy to see all of your support for this wonderful cast. I love this show & to be able to do the thing I love the most while being able to provide for my little family is my life’s honor. Thank you 🫶🏼 @dancingwiththestars #dwts
