What’s truly beautiful about Pitti Uomo is that it brings together people from all over the world, each one with their own authentic personality and unique take on style. It’s a celebration of individuality. Style here is not about trends, but about self-expression. It’s subjective, yes, but when you’re surrounded by this many real people confidently wearing what reflects who they are, it’s impossible to deny the beauty of it. In contrast, when we look at actors and celebrities, what we often admire is the result of costume designers in cinema or stylists on the red carpet. These looks are carefully curated, part of a character, a brand, or an image. And while they may be visually impressive, they aren’t always real. Sometimes, people fall in love with those characters or looks, trying to imitate them, forgetting that what they admired was a part of an imaginary story, not the person behind it. Just look at paparazzi photos you’ll often see a completely different, far more casual and unstyled reality. At Pitti, the It’s raw, lived-in, honest. Don’t try to imitate it without living it. Today people have lost their sense of taste. Beauty, style, manners, all replaced by comfort and consumerism. There’s no respect for occasion, no understanding of what fits where. The same tracksuit walks from the gym to dinner to the airport. Culture has been diluted and tradition forgotten. At Mararo we do things differently. I teach my clients and live by it myself that discipline in taste is a form of respect. God loves beauty and despises ugliness because beauty reflects harmony, order, and care.
