1. Popsicle Check-ins on the Porch Grab the pops, sit on the steps and let each kid share the pit and peak of their day. 2. Family Bike Rides After Dinner Time outside + fun for everyone? Perfect. Shout out to @lectricebikes for making our family rides all over town so easy and fun. The sky is the limit! 3. Backyard Campouts (that can end indoors) Start with tents, flashlights and snacks. Bonus points if you can throw in a fire pit! The memory still holds if you all end up back inside by 10 PM. 4. Library Haul + Blanket Snack Time I am so passionate about this one I did a whole reel on it. Everyone grabs a book, piles on blanket outside and reads with a fresh charcuterie board of snacks after a library haul.  5. Farmers Market Pizza Night Get your produce at the farmers market on Saturday morning and make a fresh homemade pizza. Bonus: Get small crusts and let each kid make their own! 6. Sidewalk Chalk Art Show Let the kids create a “gallery” on the driveway and invite you to the exhibit. Personally I love sidewalk chalk, so I’m joining in. 7. Sprinkler Reset Hour Water fixes everything. For a cranky moods just turn on the sprinkler. Use this for a smooth sailing witching hour!  9. Screen-Free Saturdays Hide the tablets and turn off the TV. Make boredom the launchpad for forts, crafts and good old fashion creativity. 10. Disposable Camera Diaries Give each kid a disposable camera on adventure days. Print them all at once to get a feel of their view of childhood. 11. 90’s Movie Night Parent’s choice for movie night. Don’t forget the classics like The Sandlot, Flubber and Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Throw in some homemade popcorn for fun! 12. Homemade Lemonade Stand Make sure to include the hand drawn marker signs and a big jar for coins and dollars. 13. Pick Berries Go to a local farm and choose U-pick to gather a bucket of seasonal fruit. Bring home and make a dessert! 14. Friday Family Game Night A consistent practice of board game night will definitely lead to core memories. 15. Summer Bucket List Jar Fill a jar with strips of paper that have fun summer outings on them. Pick one to plan for that week! ✨What else would you add!?

Our @lectricebikes XP4s have opened up a whole new world of adventure for us. On our latest trip, we rode them along Oregon’s historic Columbia River Gorge Highway State Trail. Built between 1913 and 1922, the 73-mile Columbia River Highway was designed to showcase the most breathtaking sights in the Gorge. With its graceful curves, rock walls, tunnels, and bridges, it earned the nickname “King of Roads.” Lined with waterfalls and sweeping views of the Columbia River, it became known as America’s first scenic highway. Over the years, much of the original highway was lost when Interstate 84 was built in the 1950s and 60s. But since 1987, the Oregon Department of Transportation has been working hard to restore and reconnect what’s now called the Historic Columbia River Highway. Today, 69 of the original 73 miles are open again, some for cars, others as scenic bike and walking trails that follow the old route through the Gorge. Only four miles remain to complete the full connection. Some of the most spectacular renovations were digging out the Mosier Twin Tunnels and building a replica of the Mitchel Point Tunnel, which was destroyed in 1966. It’s easily one of the most jaw-dropping and diverse rides we’ve ever done: waterfalls, tunnels, cliffs, and nonstop views of the Gorge. I can’t believe I waited this long to try an e-bike because they’re a blast. I got the @lectricebikes Expedition2 because it’s such a great way to get around with kids. We rode 9 miles to the perfect little picnic spot in the woods, definitely way more ground than we could’ve covered on foot! Since we’re currently a 1 car household we’ve also been using it for daily errands around town, and school drop-off/pick-up. It’s so nice to avoid traffic and not have to hunt for parking! A few more reasons we love our @lectricbikes ✔️Comfy & smooth ride. ✔️ Built & tested for family safety. ✔️ Cargo bags that hold so much stuff! From snakes to birds and dozens of alligators (many right next to the path 😳), this ride or hike is a must for nature lovers.
