Now that my part in the Internet Invitational has come to an end, I feel like this is the time to share my other secret I’ve been keeping… Back in March, I was diagnosed with a rare blood disease. From April to June, I went through chemo, and at the end of June I had a bone marrow biopsy to check for leukemia and lymphoma. Because of all this, I wasn’t allowed to play golf for most of the year. When I told @stoolpresidente “I play sometimes,” and my handicap is between 5 and 8 I was just guessing because I was literally just getting back into it after months of medical obstacles. I had no idea he was going to ask me to play right after. With all that said and out of the way… WHAT. AN. EXPERIENCE. I’m genuinely so proud of myself for stepping up to compete for one million dollars with complete strangers, 150 cameras in my face, and everything I’d been walking through behind the scenes. If you know me at all you know how competitive I am, so not playing to my potential was eating me alive. Regardless, I’m SO incredibly grateful for this opportunity. It was truly amazing to be there during all the excitement! I met some of the best people and had more fun on the golf course than I have in a long time. I wish I could’ve played better golf for my teammates but I still feel like I played pretty good all things considering. To my family and friends: HUGE thank you. Y’all have been with me through the wildest season of my life, and your support means everything to me! I love yall. I’ve said it once and I’ll keep saying it over and over again but Glory to God. Always and forever. I truly am blessed, lucky and highly favored! Lastly - THANK YOU so much to all my new friends here! The overwhelming amount of support and love I have received literally across the whole world is so touching!! I’m hungry to start playing and practicing again and will be starting to make some videos for my YouTube channel soon! Go like and subscribe to follow along on this next crazy adventure! IVE BEEN KEEPING A HUGE SECRET!!!❤️ The first episode of the internet invitational is live and I think yall should tune in 👀 I was working this event at Big Cedar the night of the Internet Invitational draft and was feeling SO grateful just for the opportunity to be around and help out during this event. Well.. someone didn’t show up, and out of nowhere, they asked ME to step in and be part of it. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get the chance to be apart of something so special. This small-town girl who grew up loving the game with all her heart suddenly found herself surrounded by some of the most incredible golfers and a huge opportunity to do what I have always dreamt of doing.. play golf! I’ve been keeping this secret for two months, and it’s finally timei get to share it… I did in fact play in the Internet Invitational. And let me tell you.. it was everything i could have ever dreamt of and more. I played some dang good golf, made memories I’ll never forget, and finished with a heart overflowing with gratitude!! Moments like this remind me that God’s plan is always greater than our own. You never know what He’s preparing you for behind the scenes. So whatever you’re doing and wherever you are right now just trust Him. Because when it’s your time, He’ll open the right doors in ways you never saw coming.
