I guess you can say this is day 71 of trying to retire my wife. And recently, God put something on my heart. What does my wife being retired actually look like for her? Sure we can look forward to her resting her feet, laying back on the couch, finally reading that book she’s been trying to get to for a few months — all those things are great.. But I was reminded that true rest comes from the Lord. And what better way than to create a dedicated space for her to be able to do that without any distractions or disruptions. She’s always had areas of the house where she could read/journal and pray but it wasn’t her space. So I decided transform this room in our basement we’ve used as random storage over the years and finally give her that space she can call her own. This is her war room. I want her retiring to look like coming down here at any time of the day to spend time with God and just be in His presence. To be that little girl. His precious daughter whom He adores. And to give her one more thing to look forward to as she learns to lay her burdens down. POV: Waiting 9 months to find out the gender of our 5th baby🥹🫶🏽 Everyone would tell me the reason why this pregnancy was different and healthy was because this baby must have been a girl. So, I said to God… this must be a boy so you can prove yourself as a deliverer, because no one will try to take your glory away from this testimony, Lord. YOU healed me, not because the baby is a different gender so my body reacted differently. YOU will get the glory, Lord😭 So, I felt that in my heart, but we still waited… I told everyone for months that I didn’t want anyone to look for the gender or announce it as soon as baby was born. I wanted it to be special and to soak in every moment and love on my baby no matter who they were. Those 20 minutes after birth, I took it all in. Kissed them all over, thanked God over and over again, took in their smell, and fell in love with the sound of their cry. I told my baby I loved them 100 times.. not because they were my first girl or fifth boy. But because they were mine, hand picked for me by God. My deliverance baby, the one who showed me God’s power as my Healer & Deliverer and my strength. 😭😭 We love you so, so much baby. Our family wasn’t complete until we met you. POV: Waiting 9 months to find out the gender of our 5th baby🥹🫶🏽 Everyone would tell me the reason why this pregnancy was different and healthy was because this baby must have been a girl. So, I said to God… this must be a boy so you can prove yourself as a deliverer, because no one will try to take your glory away from this testimony, Lord. YOU healed me, not because the baby is a different gender so my body reacted differently. Lots of people messaged me calling me fat and told me to start working out but ya know, who cares😂 i enjoyed every bit of my pregnancy offline and the surprised shocks when people in person saw me with a big ol’ belly. Or when I showed up at church with 5 kids and even a year later people thought I was watching someone else’s baby🤣 It’s been a timeee😂 truly, highly recommend 🤭🫶🏽 grateful to finally be sharing it with our internet fam on here who love & support us… you guys mean so much to us and I’m sorry I kept the secret for so long.🥹🫶🏽

God told me to hide my pregnancy but I had no idea I’d wait 2 whole years to share lol. Every time I asked God about it, He made it so clear – “not yet”. He would bring specific bible verses to my spirit every time I asked. He showed me one I’d never read before, 2 Chronicles 22:12: the baby remained hidden with them at the temple of God for 6 years” …for God’s protection. I was like, wait Lord, 6 years?! 😂 The timing wasn’t literal for me, but it was so clear God wanted us to keep this quiet. Then the story of Moses being hidden by his mother for 3 months (Exodus 2), kept safe until God’s timing was right. And then God brought me to Luke 1:20–22, about how Zechariah didn’t have enough faith to believe his wife could conceive. God literally SILENCED him & made him MUTE until their baby (John the Baptist) was born! 🤯 Because God knew he would unintentionally curse his baby in the womb with his doubt, lack of faith & fear. That’s where God made it so clear, as much as I wanted to scream from the rooftops about how He healed me with a pregnancy free from #HG, we couldn’t give the enemy a chance to curse my womb, my baby, or my birth with the words of anyone. Even people who mean well, will come against the miracles you’re believing God for without even realizing it. My OBGYN told me I shouldn’t plan a home birth & her literal words were: “you don’t want to worry about who’s gunna take care of your four kids forever because you don’t make it through the birth” Can you imagine?!🤯 So we rebuked all word curses & I stayed hidden—not out of fear, but out of obedience. Because sometimes God hides things to protect them. ​​Mama, trust God’s plan, and if He leads you to keep quiet, know it’s for a purpose. His ways are not our ways & His glory will shine through your testimony. When He leads you to share, it will be so evident of His love and faithfulness in your life, in Jesus’ name! ✨💛 would you consider hiding your pregnancy?🫶🏽

This is why it's so important to spend time with the Lord, and to give Him room to speak. Because He will. There's really no better feeling than seeing your spouse come to life when God leads you to do something for them. One of my prayers is, "God, help me to see my wife as you see her.." and I believe this is one of those moments where He allowed me to see her in that very way. His little girl. His precious daughter who wants nothing more than to be in the presence of her Heavenly Father. What an honor it is to be trusted with her heart. I may not get it right all the time. I may let her down at times. But God redeems all of it. He's teaching me, through those harder lessons, how to love His daughter. I saw a comment in the initial post that said "But did she thank YOU though" - yes, she did.. (countless off camera and still does daily) but it's not about me. I did this for her, and for her relationship with The Lord. I just had the privilege of being a vessel for The Lord to bring her the joy she has been praying and believing for. So even if she didn't verbally communicate it, I know that her heart is pleased. I can rest knowing that she has her safe, secret place to continue pursuing The Lord and warring for our family as she has been doing all along. That is more fulfilling than a thank you. I'm so moved by so many of your comments, and I pray that you're encouraged to keep seeking The Lord. He loves all of you, deeply. I’m grateful our boys get to witness what a godly marriage looks like and how to love their future wives. Sean and I didn’t grow up witnessing marriage and no one taught us how to be a good husband or wife… so the fruit of this is truly the work of the Holy Spirit teaching us every step of the way😭 If you’re praying for marriage, my advice is: please, don’t settle.. and know your IDENTITY in Christ. Because when you know how Jesus loves you as a daughter of GOD, you wouldn’t dare settle. And if I can say it straight up like I do to the teen girls I talk to lol… Don’t pick the guy that’s “fineee” and thinks HE’S the gift. GIRL, PLEASE DON’T. YOU👏🏽 ARE👏🏽 THE👏🏽 GIFT! Genesis 2:18 , Proverbs 18:22, & Proverbs 31:10 make that CLEAR, okayyy?! If you’re waiting for marriage, here are a few things to look for: 💛Loves you like Jesus, with actions, not just words 💛a man who has a REAL relationship with Jesus that goes beyond just church on Sundays & surface level Christianity. (don’t let him having a bible with highlights bamboozle you hunny, he’s gotta KNOW Jesus to actually love you like Jesus.) 💛 A man who sees you as God’s hand-picked gift & treats you as such. 💛 A husband who loves sacrificially, even in the small everyday ways & has a servant’s heart. 💛 Someone who uplifts & honors you privately & publicly 💛 A man who can lead you with respect, kindness, and love & has a godly vision for your family Marriage is better when both of you are striving to love like Christ…and when you marry your favorite person, oh my gosh even the hardest days are the best days of your life. So we prayed & made sure I was in a peaceful atmosphere of worship with Sean so my oxytocin would rise & contractions would start. (Mamas, this is KEY. Oxytocin is the same love hormone that gets baby IN there & the same hormone that gets baby OUT… so love on your mannn lol) From there everything happened sooo fast. I praise God for it all 😭 [So many moms asked for our affirmation cards, so comment CARDS & I’ll DM them 💛] This is my 5th birth, but 3rd home/water birth. If you’re believing for a pain-free, peaceful birth, trust God for it. Don’t just hope… declare it & do the action steps to prepare for it. With my first 2, I didn’t understand what my body was going through when it was contracting, so the unknown turned to fear, which turned into pain. By my 3rd birth, I was believing God for a supernatural, redemptive experience. I watched the pain-free childbirth course from @painfreebirth & it changed everything!! It helped me understand what my body was doing, what it needed, & how God designed birth without pain. I thank God for this resource!! I also read/listened to “Supernatural Childbirth” constantly—shower, bedtime, everything. After a few weeks, there was NO way I could believe a pain-free birth wasn’t possible. I was convinced. Along with the @christianhypnobirthing app, it helped silence all the lies the world tells about childbirth!🥲 Those are the tools God used to give us 3 back-to-back fast, pain-free, supernatural birth testimonies. Our team started the World Cup games unknown by the world, and they said we had a 1% chance. 1% chance. But 100% of faith in God that anything was possible. Last night they played the #1 team in the world and our men gave Argentina the fight of their life and pushed them to their limits. the secret is finally out🥹🫶🏽 What an honor it is that God would let me be the first place my babies ever called home.💛 Most of you know all four of my previous pregnancies came with an intense health condition called #HG that had me bedridden & in and out of the hospital throughout the whole pregnancy, every time. This time, God told me He delivered me from that disease before I even knew I was pregnant.😭 I’ve experienced God as a deliverer, healer and redeemer in this pregnancy and it’s been the most beautiful journey. I don’t know if every dog is like this… or if it’s just golden doodles… or if it’s because I’m the only girl in a house of 6 boys.. or because he’s watched me birth 3 babies at home and feels like he has to protect me and watch my every move to make sure I don’t pop another one out 🤣 but the soundtrack to my life is the sound of his nails clicking on my floors. So, when we’re deep in the trenches of the nighttime routine, the busiest time of the day, where it’s non stop after the kids’ sports & homework, dinner prep, maintaining the home, bath times, and sometimes work deadlines… this hug means EVERYTHING. Not just to him, but me too🥹. When the world feels overwhelming, a simple hug just resets us. It doesn’t matter how crazy it gets, being wrapped in each other’s arms is our safe place. And for him, my physical touch lover, sometimes this is all it takes to remind him that he’s seen, appreciated, needed, loved, and we’re in this together — no matter how hectic life gets. It’s the little things, like speaking each other’s love languages, that help us stay grounded and strong together. We’re preparing them for our future daughter-in-loves and raising who raises our grandkids and that’s one of my greatest honors.. and also so humbling. My sons are gonna be husbands one day. Maybe fathers to daughters too. The way they treat a woman is gonna be built off what they see me do, not what I said, but what I did. I don’t want them doing these things because I told them to. I want them to do it because they observe the way I serve her, the way I treat her, the way I respond to her. Seeing moments like this shows me how impactful it is. I didn’t have to ask him to jump up and go get her from the rain. He decided to do that on his own before I could even think of it. Such a beautiful thing to see. As God is teaching me how to raise and take care of His daughter, my sons are learning how they’ll do it for their wives one day. So I can’t just talk about loving my wife well. I have to live it in front of them every single day, because they’re always watching, even when I don’t realize it. Show them what it looks like to fight for their marriage. Show them what it looks like to serve in their marriage. Show them what it looks like to pray over their marriage. Because one day, it’ll be the most important thing they do.

my wife pulled up and within seconds our son Avery ran to the door to great her and save her from the rain. it showed me how powerful “more is caught, then taught” really is. We’re preparing them for our future daughter-in-loves and raising who raises our grandkids and that’s one of my greatest honors.. and also so humbling. My sons are gonna be husbands one day. Maybe fathers to daughters too. The way they treat a woman is gonna be built off what they see me do, not what I said, but what I did. I don’t want them doing these things because I told them to. I want them to do it because they observe the way I serve her, the way I treat her, the way I respond to her. Seeing moments like this shows me how impactful it is. I didn’t have to ask him to jump up and go get her from the rain. He decided to do that on his own before I could even think of it. Such a beautiful thing to see. And I get to be loved by a man who truly knows God and HEARS from Him, so he knows how to care for us🥲 Every hard year was worth it. Every hard prayer was worth it.
