Today was a tough one 🥹 I just got back to Austin after spending over two weeks at home in Canada. In that time, I caught up with friends and family, Zach and I had a beautiful wedding celebration hosted by my mom, and I got to watch my best friend marry the love of her life. I think so many people can relate to the emotions that come with living away from home. It’s not easy being a long-distance daughter, niece, granddaughter, sister, and friend. For 27 years, my whole world revolved around those amazing people—and it still does, just in a different way now. No matter how much time passes, it never gets easier stepping on that plane back to my life in Austin. When I first came down to the U.S., I had no idea what was ahead. I thought I’d be bouncing around different states as a travel nurse. Instead, I spent four months travel nursing, two months on a reality TV show, and somehow met a man who truly cherishes me for everything I am. Now here I am, three years later, living in Texas with Zach, we just bought our first home with a nice backyard for our little puppy, Honey 🐶 🍯. As I start the green card process, I don’t know when I’ll get to go back home again and make new memories, so for now here’s some of my favorite ones during this past visit 🇨🇦❤️🥹

Today was a tough one 🥹 I just got back to Austin after spending over two weeks at home in Canada. Well…it’s official! Zach and I just bought our first home together 🏡 🤭 The place we’ll raise our kids one day (no, I’m not pregnant) but I can’t wait for that chapter. We found the perfect area for us — so many trails, parks , and families around. Zach and I are just beyond excited for this next season of our life 😩🩷!! There’s no denying that Zach and I met in a pretty unconventional way — we had just two months to decide if we wanted to spend forever together… while he was dating 29 other women. What a way to kick things off 😂 But somehow, through the whirlwind, we found something real. And we’re genuinely so grateful for every step that brought us to one another. We still look at each other and laugh, saying, “How is this our love story?” — especially since the success rate wasnt in our favor 😂 Life together is brighter and sweeter in so many ways. This one’s for the healthcare professionals 🫶🏽 I know what it feels like to go hours without sitting down.. when your feet are throbbing, your lower back is aching, and that so-called “lunch break” is just enough time to heat up your food. We get pulled in every direction — answering call lights, putting in orders, passing meds, calming down upset family members, holding someone’s hand, cleaning up one mess while already running to the next. All while silently wondering, “Is this shift ever going to end?”😣 I’ve had those days where I kept it together all shift, only to cry in the car on the way home. Because this job is beautiful… but it’s brutal. You give everything — physically, mentally, emotionally — and sometimes, it still doesn’t feel like enough. But it is. You’re doing more than enough — even on the days that feel like a blur of chaos, caffeine, and pure survival mode.😂 We don’t always get thank yous. We don’t always get breaks. But we do get moments — quiet, powerful ones — where we know we made a difference. And honestly?
