Happy Friday! Today I am bringing you a budget friendly family outing at the Balboa Peninsula. 🎡 From now until May 31 you can get a free ride on the Balboa Fun Zone Ferris wheel with a purchase of a combo meal at @irvsburgers right next door. Just take your receipt to the Ferris wheel ticket office for the deal. Please note that Irv‘s burgers & the ferris wheel are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. 🎡 Ferris Wheel riders must be at least 2 years old & kids under 13 cannot ride by themselves. 🎡 After your lunch and free ride, you can take your kids on the auto ferry, which is one of the cheapest boat rides in Orange County. The fare is two dollars for adults one way and free for kids under five. Please note that the ferry only accepts cash and no bills larger than $20. 🎡 Once you have a chance to explore Balboa Island a bit, you can take the ferry back to the Peninsula and hit up the Balboa Pier Playgroud, just a couple blocks from the Balboa Fun Zone. 🚗 Parking: We like to park at the Balboa Pier, which has a large metered parking lot. There is also street parking available. 🚾 Restrooms: There are restrooms at the pier playground and Balboa Fun Zone.
