Yes, it sounds crazy, but it was 100% real! Why is Uptown Charlotte so DEAD right now? Last night I went to Queen City Quarter (formerly the Epicentre) for the first time in a while and was shocked. Why is Uptown Charlotte so DEAD right now? Last night I went to Queen City Quarter (formerly the Epicentre) for the first time in a while and was shocked. It was completely empty — barely any people, no nightlife energy, just a ghost town. If you remember the Epicentre at its peak, you know why this feels wild. Those days were legendary.
