Today was truly a special day at Gillette Stadium. We made the decision to execute a one-day contract immediately to fulfill a wish on behalf of my dear friend and philanthropist who recently passed away, Susan Hurley. Thanks to her she made the Gronk Playground possible.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to Robert Kraft (RKK), the Patriots organization, and all the media who attended today. Reliving the memories of my career here and seeing so many familiar faces was a tremendous boost. From the touchdowns and the roaring fans to the crazy blocks thrown, to slipping my number to the #1 Patriots cheerleader and all the moments in the locker room—being able to relive it all is what made today so special.
My career started here in 2010 and it only made sense to conclude here. I look forward to seeing everyone at the game tomorrow night. Perhaps they’ll put me in for a fade route if Drake Maye needs another touchdown!
With all that said, I’m excited for what’s to come in the future. Thank you to everyone who was part of my journey here. I will see you in the lighthouse tomorrow night! #Patriot4Life !!
