Here’s a look at how I played the beastly 15th hole at Oakmont Country Club! This is easily one of the most chaotic holes I’ve ever played from start to finish 😅

It just goes to show that golf is a crazy game, and if you want to perform your best, you need to stay even keel through the good & bad and just keep playing! 💪🏻

Tag a buddy who would still get outdriven here 🤣

1st shot: Driver topped 80 yards into the rough
2nd shot: 7-Iron advanced into the fairway
3rd shot: 4-iron from 272 yards to 15 feet
4th shot: Missed the par putt on the high side
5th shot: Missed the come-backer to the left
6th shot: Tap-in for double bogey 🤦

Well this was a wild finish to my round! 😅

I was on the 18th hole at Payne’s Valley, with a great round going, and I really wanted to finish strong.

Unfortunately the pressure got to me & I made a very flippy, indecisive swing off the tee & paid for it by hooking it into the water. After taking a drop, I still had 250 yards left, and compounded the error by leaving myself short sided in a trap for my 4th shot. However, I was able to steady myself, and execute a great sand shot to 8 feet, and make a pure roll to save my par 💪🏻

I’m making this post to remind everybody (and myself) how much of a mental game this is, and most of the time, our score isn’t decided by whether we have bad shots, but how we respond to them. If you go back and look at some of the most iconic golf shots in history, odds are a poor shot preceded it…. a notable example being Constantino Rocca’s fluffed chip shot on the last hole of the 1995 Open, only to then make the 70 footer from the Valley of Sin to send the tournament into a playoff. 🔥🔥

This game will beat you up. Stay the course, and just keep playing. Good things will happen if you do!

1st shot: 1-iron hooked into the water
2nd shot: Penalty stroke
3rd shot: 9-iron from 248 into the trap
4th shot: Bunker shot hit to 8 feet
5th shot: Made the 8 footer for par ⛳️

Throwback to this gem from my round at Oakmont last summer ahead of the US Open 🤣🤣

This was easily the most chaotic hole I played last year & it highlights why this game will drive you insane… it’s crazy to me how I can top it off the tee 80 yards, and less than 5 minutes later snipe a pin from almost 300 yards, and then proceed to 3 putt from 15 feet…. that’s golf!

It just goes to show why it’s so important to take everything the game throws at you with a grain of salt… one of my goals this year is to get much better at doing that 💪🏻

What are your golf goals for 2026? 🤔

Hole 17 at Moonlight Basin is one of the most unreal holes I’ve ever played, and now it’s the site of the LONGEST drive I’ve ever hit while playing golf! 🤯🤯

At nearly 800 yards long with a tee shot that’s backed up by the beautiful Rocky Mountains, this is a par 5 you will never forget!

I pulled driver off the tee, and absolutely smoked it over the fairway bunker, and caught the speed slot to have my drive roll out to over 500 yards! I had 240 yards left, and hit a perfectly flighted pitching wedge to the middle of the green, setting up a 30 foot eagle putt. I had a good line on my putt, but left it short, tapping in for a birdie 💪🏻

1st shot: Driver smoked over the trap
2nd shot: Pitching wedge from 240 yards to 30 feet
3rd shot: Eagle putt left a few feet short
4th shot: Tap-in for birdie 🐦

Throwback to one of the most INSANE holes I played last year! 🔥🔥

This was on the 254 yard 17th hole at Brae Burn Country Club, and with it being downhill and downwind, I knew the ball was gonna go crazy far 🤣🤣

What club would you hit here? 🤔

I decided to go with a 9-iron off the tee to make sure I stayed below the hole. With these greens rolling at 13 on the stimpmeter, it’s very easy to 3 jack if you get caught above the hole. I hit the exact shot I wanted to hit, which was a soft draw that started out to the right & turned back towards the pin. It landed about 12 feet short of the hole but rolled back into the valley at the front of the green, leaving me with about 25 feet for birdie. I definitely hit my birdie putt a little too firm, but since it was uphill, the cup was still able to catch it & it went in for an awesome two! 💪🏻

1st shot: 9-iron from 254 yards to 25 feet
2nd shot: Canned the 25 footer for birdie 🐦

Throwback to the greatest shot of my long drive career so far! 🔥🔥

This was from the semi-finals of the 2019 Tennessee Big Shots event, and I was down to my last ball, needing to beat 390 to advance & keep my tournament alive.

My one thought as I hit this ball was to swing as hard as I could, because I didn’t want to get eliminated leaving anything in the tank. I knew when I hit this ball that I’d crushed it, and it came off the face at a then-world record 228 mph, hugging the right corner of the grid, and finishing at 398, advancing me to the finals. 💪🏻

What a rush that whole tournament was! Probably the most adrenaline I’ve ever felt in my life!

Here’s what happens when two long drive pros have a match on the 623 yard 11th hole at Bluejack National!🔥

After we both smoked our drives, Glenn had to play a draw around the trees with his 2nd shot, leaving it a little right of the green, while I was able to attack the pin, hitting a solid shot from 194 yards to 30 feet. After a good 3rd shot from Glenn, the match would come down to a putting contest. 👀

Can We Hit A Golf Ball 1000 Yards? 🤯
Hole 6 at Moonlight Basin is one of the most beautiful par 5s I’ve ever played! At over 630 yards with a massive ravine splitting the fairway & traps all over the place, it’s a beast of a hole 😳

Also keep in mind that this course is almost 8k feet above sea level… absolutely mind-blowing how far the ball goes out here 🤯

I had about 410 yards to the end of the fairway off the tee, so I hit 3-iron to make sure I stayed short. Even though I mishit it, I got a ton of distance and only had about 260 for my 2nd shot. From there I went with an 8-iron, ending up just over the green after a fortunate kick. After a really good flop shot, I cleaned up the 5 footer for a great birdie 💪🏻

1st shot: 3-iron up the middle
2nd shot: 8-iron from 263 yards just over the green
3rd shot: Flop shot to 5 feet
4th shot: Rolled in the putt for birdie 🐦

Here’s a look at how I played one of the LONGEST golf holes in the world! 🤯🤯

At over 750 yards, hole 13 at RainDance National is a monster. Something pretty cool about this hole is that the tips are so far back, they’re actually part of the practice green! It’s a weird feeling hitting a drive off a putting green I can tell ya that 🤣

Overall I played this hole really well to walk away with a 4, but believe it or not I did one shot better the first time I played it 😉

What would you score on this hole?

1st shot: Drive pulled into the first cut
2nd shot: 3-iron from 340 yards played up the left side
3rd shot: Lob wedge from 50 yards hit to 12 feet
4th shot: Rolled in the 12 footer for birdie 🐦

In honor of TGL season 2 kicking off, here’s how I played my favorite hole from season 1, called “The Spear” 🔥🔥

You might be able to figure out why this hole was my favorite pretty quickly 🤣

Would you go for the second fairway or layup off the tee? 🤔

1st shot: Long driver bombed up the right side
2nd shot: 9-iron from 195 yards hit to 40 feet
3rd shot: Lagged the 40 footer to 3 feet
4th shot: Cleaned up the 3 footer for birdie 🐦

This is some of the best golf I’ve ever played! 🔥

You know it’s gonna be a good day when you make two eagles in a row early in your round 🦅

Feels really good to see the game coming together after about 18 months of steady practice. I’m at the point now where I’m consistently breaking par when I’m relaxed & playing for fun. Now I just need it to translate to tournament golf. My tournament play has been improving, just a little slower than I’d like, which means I just need to get more competitive reps ⛳️

The two biggest improvements I’ve made over the last 18 months has been developing a more controlled ball flight, and mostly eliminating big misses off the tee. This has allowed me to get much more aggressive when I’m presented with birdie opportunities, while drastically reducing my big numbers.

I have a laundry list of things I still need to improve, but I’m very happy with my progress over the last year & a half. Time to keep grinding 💪🏻

You know you’re in for a tough hole when you have to deal with nearly 10 traps as well as the thickest rough you’ll see anywhere! I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with rough this brutal 😅

Here’s what happens when a World Long Drive champ plays a one hole match against one of the top female long drivers in the world! 🔥🔥

This was from the beautiful 9th hole at Trump International, a tough par 5 with water guarding the entire left side of the hole & traps surrounding the green.

Cass & I both hit our tee shots into the right rough, avoiding the water, and then hit our 2nd shots up by the green, and from there it turned into a short game contest ⛳️

What do you think Cass’ longest drive is? 🤔

Had a fun time getting the chance to play a match against Ryder Cup Captain & former World No. 1 Luke Donald! 🔥

Here’s a look at one of my better holes from the match, having a nice crowd watching definitely got the adrenaline flowing, and it was a great way to get another competitive rep under my belt. 💪🏻

One thing I learned… I need to improve my distance control. Luke was pin high almost every time with exceptional control of his ball flight, and it was truly impressive to watch… I know I can get there, just need to keep grinding.

Also congrats to Luke & the European team on a hard fought Ryder Cup win. Would’ve loved for the Americans to pull off the comeback but I’m not upset seeing him lift the trophy. Great guy & easy to root for 🏆

Had a fun time trying to break 60 from the front tees at Bear Lakes CC! 🔥🔥

I played great all day & it came down to the wire, with me needing an eagle on the last to get it done. This was honestly some of the most pressure I’ve ever felt 😅

Playing from shorter tees has been an awesome drill for me for two reasons…

1) It forces me to hit a ton of shorter, touchy shots
2) I get used to the rhythm of piling on birdies & eagles, which gets me into a great mindset for shooting low scores

This is the one thing I wish I did more of when I was younger. Next time you’re out playing, move up a few boxes & give it a try! I guarantee it’ll force your short game & mental game to work harder & get better 😤
