The Bronx really showed up for this one. 🇵🇷🔥

About 26 people pulled up to compete in a Bad Bunny lookalike contest in the Bronx, and the energy was exactly what you’d expect.

Shoutout to everyone who participated and everyone who came through to watch.

This is the perfect way to get ready for the final season of Stranger Things.

I saw Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway and it blew me away. It is a play, not a musical, and the origin story is scary, funny, and insanely immersive. The visuals make you feel like you are actually in the Upside Down.

If you love Stranger Things, sci fi, or horror, this Broadway show is a must-watch.

😈 SHARE THIS with someone you want to take to the Upside Down!

Feels like I just got away with something. 🤫✨

Still processing that I got to sit in on a rehearsal for Carmen at @metopera. Seeing the cast build this story from the inside out was unreal, especially with this modern staging by Carrie Cracknell. It totally flips the script on the classic opera vibes.

If you don’t know the plot, here’s the casual rundown: It’s the ultimate messy love triangle. Carmen is a free spirit who doesn’t play by the rules, Don José is the soldier who becomes obsessed with her, and then a hot bullfighter shows up to complicate everything. Drama ensues. 💃💔

This production runs through Jan 11th - Jan 23rd and it’s honestly a great idea for a NYC night out. And serious tip: you don’t need to be an opera expert.

- Tickets start at ~$35 (seriously)
- There are subtitles at every seat (so you know exactly who is roasting who)
- You can dress up like I did, or come casual.

Save this for your January plans in NYC. 🗽👇

I know Latino culture isn’t a monolith, but I felt such a deep sense of shared joy and pride watching this. 🇨🇺❤️

Confession time: Does it make me a “bad Latino” that I had never heard of this before? I walked into @buenavistamusical completely blind. I didn’t know the legendary 1997 album, I hadn’t seen the film, and I had zero expectations.

And honestly? That might be the best way to experience it.

From the second the music started, the theater came alive. It didn’t feel like just a Broadway musical... it felt like a concert! A celebration! Even though I’m not Cuban, I saw pieces of my own family and history in the storytelling on that stage.

It’s no wonder this show just took home 5 Tony Awards (including a special one for the band!). If you are looking for a show to bring your family to that honors our roots and feels like a massive party, this is the one.

📍 Location: Schoenfeld Theatre (236 W 45th St, NYC)

✨ Send this to the family group chat, we need to plan a trip!

Whenever I heard “from The Bronx” on WWE®, it stopped me in my tracks.

Because growing up, we didn’t always see people like us—on that kind of stage.

So to chat with Damian Priest @archerofinfamy—WWE® Superstar and now a Bronx Walk of Fame inductee—and talk about what it means to rep the BX?

That’s full-circle.

From mofongo to grit and dreams, Damian Priest reminds us:
We’re not just built different—we’re built from community.

And thanks to connections like @cricketwireless, moments like this get to live beyond the block.
Because when you stay connected to your city, your story, and your people—anything’s possible.

This is CITY ISLAND???

Welcome to @atikrestaurant in City Island, The Bronx.

If you have been looking for an excuse to plan a romantic date night or just want to try a new dining spot in The Bronx, I have the perfect reason for you to visit City Island.

Right now through April 12th, the neighborhood is celebrating its first ever Restaurant Week! I stopped by ATIK, a gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant that recently opened up, and the vibes are incredible. They have an amazing patio, and I already know I will be coming back this summer when it is warmer to sit outside, watch the boats, and take in the views.

For their Restaurant Week menu, you get a starter and a main course for 45 dollars per person. We tried the Eggplant Croquettes, the Hummus, and the Homemade Meatballs to start, followed by the Mezzi Rigatoni. Everything was delicious. This is an ideal spot if you want to get dressed up for a date or just grab a beautiful meal with friends without leaving the borough.

SAVE this post for your next NYC dining adventure and send it to the person you are taking to City Island Restaurant Week!

There are plenty of other amazing Bronx restaurants participating right now, so make sure to check out City Island’s page for the full list of spots to visit. @cityislandchambercommerce

What are we doing.

This is @vibrarestaurantbx, right in the Bronx and stupid easy to get to. Take the 6 train to Westchester Square–East Tremont Ave and you’re there.

📍 127 Westchester Square, Bronx, NY 10461

The vibes hit immediately. The cocktails come out looking like a whole event, perfect date night energy. The appetizer tower (Picadera Platter) alone had me speechless, crispy, stacked, dramatic, no notes.

But listen.
You have to get the steak mofongo. It’s hearty, saucy, messy in the best way, and absolutely worth committing to. The mac and cheese with the chicken inside? Pure gooey comfort. And that grilled lobster sandwich? Yeah… that one didn’t last long.

This is one of those spots where you’re pointing at plates like “look at this” every five minutes.

Save this.
Send it to your people.
Then just go.

You’ll thank me later. #thebronx #intheboogiedown

🇮🇪 Looking for a meal that feels like a warm welcome home? Skip the usual spots and head over to Connaughton’s RIVERDALE Steakhouse.

This beloved gem has been serving the community for decades, offering a true taste of Ireland right in our borough. I had the pleasure of chatting with Rosie O’Reilly, who is originally from County Cavan and has been working there for 37 years! She calls the steakhouse her home away from home, and stepping inside, you instantly feel like a part of her adopted family. If you are craving authentic Irish comfort food, this is the spot.

It is the perfect destination for families wanting a cozy weekend dinner or friends looking to catch up over a hearty, belly warming spread. Rosie brought out an unbelievable lineup of Irish classics for us to try:

• The classic Irish Breakfast (featuring thick cut Irish bacon, Irish sausage, fried tomato, and black and white pudding)
• Comforting Shepherd’s pie
• Hearty Guinness beef stew
• The relatively new Spice Bag (shout out to the Chinese spots in Ireland)
• House made apple tart
• An amazing Bailey’s Coffee to finish it off

Here is the best part: from now until May 23rd, they are offering a special $35 three course Bites! of the North Bronx menu! You get to pick one starter, like Baked Brie with fig jam or French onion soup, an entree like the Shepherd’s pie or Guinness beef stew, and finish with something sweet like their house made apple tart. You can even add on a $12 Guinness Espresso Martini. There are a bunch of other local restaurants participating with their own different offers right now, so make sure to check them all out to support our community.

📍 Connaughton’s RIVERDALE Steakhouse
5700 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471

Send this to someone who needs a taste of Ireland in the Bronx, and let me know what you are ordering first in the comments.

Zero energy to cook but want a meal that tastes homemade? You have to check out Garden Gourmet Market in Kingsbridge.
Located at 5665 Broadway, it is super easy to get to. Just take the 1 train to 231st St and it is a short walk from the station.

While they have all the essentials and an incredible cheese section, the real star is the prepared food. Everything is made fresh on-site. We are talking fresh pasta, rotisserie chicken, kebabs, and those perfect go-to packs. It is the ultimate move for local students, busy commuters, or anyone who needs a fast meal that actually hits.

When you go, make sure to say hi to Andrea and Melvin. They are the nicest people and give this place that genuine neighborhood feel.

Save this for your next trip to the Bronx or send it to a friend who needs a night off from the kitchen!

West African Food in The Bronx 🇬🇭🔥 | Jollof Rice, Fufu & Bold Flavors

One of the best things about the Bronx food scene is the incredible diversity of cultures and flavors. Today I’m showing love to an amazing Woman-owned, African-owned restaurant in the Bronx bringing authentic West African cuisine to the neighborhood: @eleanors_restaurant

📍 Eleanor’s Restaurant
3289 Westchester Ave
Bronx, NY 10461

If you’ve never had West African food, this spot is a must. The flavors are bold, rich, and packed with spice. This was my first time trying some of these dishes and let me tell you, it definitely will not be my last.

From their famous jollof rice (they claim it’s better than Nigerian jollof, come judge for yourself 👀) to fufu with peanut butter soup, waakye, and banku, every dish was an experience. And if you enjoy spicy food, they absolutely bring the heat. I loved it.

As a Latino, I also noticed a lot of similarities in the food. Comforting rice plates, slow cooked stews, and bold flavors that reminded me of meals I grew up with. It’s a reminder that even when food comes from another continent, the feeling of good home cooking is universal.

If you want to try authentic West African cuisine in the Bronx, this is definitely a place to check out. You can take the 6 train to Pelham Bay Park, and you are just a short walk away.

Show some love to woman-owned businesses in NYC, explore new flavors, and celebrate the diversity that makes Bronx restaurants so special.

Save this.
Send it to your people.

English:

I’ve been a full-time content creator since 2014. Before that, I was a preschool teacher. I switched when I realized content creation paid more... sad but true! Even now, taxes hit hard, and I know a lot of other Latino entrepreneurs feel the same.

Restaurant owners, barbers, bodega owners, fashion shop owners... so many of us in the Bronx are just trying to keep our businesses alive. So I asked @zohrankmamdani: what will you actually do for small businesses like ours?

If you play Pokémon GO PvP at a high level, you’ve probably heard people say “I caught the move.”

So what does that actually mean?

A catch in Pokémon GO PvP is an advanced switching strategy where you swap Pokémon at the exact moment your opponent throws a charge move. The goal is to absorb that damage on a Pokémon that resists it, instead of letting your active Pokémon take the hit.

Why this wins games:
• Saves a key Pokémon from fainting
• Wastes your opponent’s stored energy
• Forces bad shield decisions
• Swings entire Go Battle League matches

The risk:
Mistime it, and the charge move lands on the wrong Pokémon. One bad catch can flip the game against you.

This is one of those high-risk, high-reward PvP strategies that separates casual battlers from experienced GBL players. Timing, matchup knowledge, and counting fast moves all matter here.

If you’re trying to improve in Pokémon GO PvP, especially in Go Battle League, learning how and when to catch charge moves is a must.

Save this, practice it, and start winning more games.

There are a bunch of other local restaurants participating with their own different offers right now, so make sure to check them all out to support our community. @lecheymielrestaurantbx 📍 Leche y Miel Restaurant 5761 Broadway, Bronx, NY 10463 Open Monday to Sunday, 11 AM to 9 PM If you go, let Luis know Diego sent you!
It’s official… I’m heading back to Pasadena for GO Tour 2026 in LA and I could not be more excited!

Last year was unreal. Running around catching Kyurem, hunting those Enigma backgrounds, meeting so many of you in person… it was easily one of my favorite Pokémon GO weekends ever. And we’re doing it all over again.

We’re kicking things off with a Pasadena meetup:

📆 Thursday, Feb 19th at 4:00 pm PST
📍 Central Park
275 S Raymond Ave
Pasadena, CA 91105

I’ll be there alongside some amazing creators:
@landoralpha
@tru_inferno_pokemon_go_youtube
@mattsimplified
@hannimew
@trainerrem
@dittobase
@motherofdemon_

Come say what’s up, tell me about your best catches, flex your hundos, and if you’ve got a lucky trade with my name on it, please let me know. I’ll be around all weekend!

I can’t wait to play, explore, and see the community show up the way it always does. Pasadena, let’s run it back.

First time ever stepping inside City Hall, and it meant everything to be there representing the Bronx.

I was graciously invited to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s first-ever New Media press conference at City Hall, a room filled with creators, small business owners, and voices that reflect the real New York. Hearing questions from people who live this city every day was powerful.

The Bronx was in the building. @thebronxnative was there. And for me, that matters deeply.

From the moment I started creating, it’s been in the name and in the mission. Dandy in the Bronx was always about making sure our borough is seen, heard, and included in rooms like this. Not as guests, but as part of the conversation shaping what comes next.

Honored to be here. Proud of where I’m from. And excited for what this means moving forward.

The Bronx belongs in every room. Yerrrrrrr!
