Whilst some young people in Canterbury are now being offered the MenB vaccination, there are thousands of young people across our city and our country who are not. This has to change. We are standing alongside Marissa and asking everyone to sign this petition to make the MenB vaccine available to all young people. indie rock night update ‼️‼️‼️ unfortunately, tokyo won’t be open for the next few weeks due the fire at odeon. we think tokyo is fine, but unfortunately the odeon isn’t structurally safe so no one can enter tokyo for the time being 💔 instead of calling off the next few thursdays whilst we wait for the green light, we’re moving indie rock night to club chem ! we’re working super hard on very short notice to make it as great as possible, including £1.75 bombs !?!? we’d love for you to come down and support our event if you can. and if you have any questions, drop a comment or pop us a dm <3 all our love, poppy & liam indie rock night x

Some good news, finally. From this summer, every Year 13 student and everyone under 25 starting university or college for the first time will be offered two free doses of the MenB vaccine on the NHS. This is a direct response to the worst MenB outbreak the UK has ever recorded. We can’t bring back the people we lost. But if this protects the next group of students walking into halls this September, then something good has come out of an awful year. If you’re eligible, or you know someone who is, please don’t skip the second dose. Both doses, four weeks apart, is the sweet spot. Sore arms all around. Thank you to everyone who has campaigned on this, and to every family who has spoken about what they went through. It has made a difference. #MenB #MeningitisB #Canterbury #ClubChemistry #MenBVaccine Meningitis
