I was able to assist further this year outside of leading the Elite athletes whom always make it look easy. It’s so difficult to see those struggling and in pain yet so inspiring. Thank you to all the volunteers as we all try to make the event as safe as possible. It takes a village: 3000 volunteers 20+ zone leaders 21 water stations 120 medical volunteers 15 marshal stations 60 cyclists - bike team 30 training sessions 200+ captains 100+ volunteer teams . . . . . . . . . #bmomarathon #runvan #runvancouver #marathon #neverjustaride

Another amazing @bmovanmarathon even with the unexpected intense heat. It was an honour for me to be able able to assist with leading out of the Elite runners again. Thank you @runvancanada for making things as smooth as possible. I wanted to congratulate ALL participants. I was able to assist further this year outside of leading the Elite athletes whom always make it look easy. It’s so difficult to see those struggling and in pain yet so inspiring. Thank you to all the volunteers as we all try to make the event as safe as possible. Fast races are already underway! ⚡️ McKinley Wasyliw took the U14 2.4km title this morning, clocking 8:28 and winning by over a minute. Safe to say the weekend is shaping up to be a quick one! Aaden Si Shing Chan won the U14 boys race in 9:41, while Siena Radu won the girls’ U10 race alongside Sequoia Nolan winning on the boys’ side.
