This is incredible… A huge congratulations to 16 year-old Birmingham City academy baller Michael Campbell, who just got the best GCSE grades in the clubs history 📚👏🏽 He achieved eight 9s & one 8… Equivalent to eight A stars and an A, narrowly beating Jude Bellingham’s results, who previously held the best grades 🤩 So good to see young players excelling on and off the pitch. The future is bright. 💙

The future’s Bright. We are delighted to confirm the signing of Bright Osayi Samuel. 🖊️ The 27-year-old joins us following the expiry of his contract with Turkish side Fenerbahce and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal through to the summer of 2028. The Nigeria international has been with Fenerbahce since January 2021, making 126 appearances for the Turkish side. He played a key role in last season’s success under Jose Mourinho, as Sarı Kanaryalar secured a fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title. Osayi-Samuel, who can operate as a full-back, wing-back and as a winger, also has experience of featuring in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League. He is no stranger to English football, having come through the youth ranks at Blackpool before securing a move to Championship side QPR in 2017 where he made over 100 appearances at Loftus Road. Osayi-Samuel has also been capped 22 times for Nigeria and was part of the Super Eagles squad that finished runners-up in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
