But my frother broke so we had to improvise. Once I get a new frother, I’m gonna try it the OG way but until then this was a top substitute. Toasted Coconut Cold Brew — 1 serving • 3 tbsp toasted coconut syrup, divided • 1.5 oz (45 ml) heavy whipping cream • ice • 10-12 oz cold brew • toasted coconut, for garnish Toasted Coconut Simple Syrup — yields 8oz, recipe below • 1/4 cup toasted coconut • 1/2 cup sugar (I used turbinado) • 4 oz (120 ml) water • a pinch of sea salt Start by adding 1 tbsp of toasted coconut syrup and heavy whipping cream (or non-dairy alternative) to a small cup and froth until light and airy but still pourable (around 30-45 seconds).To assemble your coffee, add your ice, the remaining 2 tbsp of your toasted coconut syrup, and cold brew to your glass. Top with your toasted coconut sweet cream and garnish with some toasted coconut. Stir & enjoy! Toasted Coconut Syrup: If your coconut isn’t already toasted, you can either put it in the oven in the “Broil” setting it for 1-2 minutes (keep an eye on it!) or toast it in your pan over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Then, add in your sugar, water, and sea salt to your small saucepan and heat on medium-high until it comes to a boil, stirring often. Next, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Once simmered, strain into an airtight container, let it cool and store in the fridge for up to 1 month. It’s normal for coconut oil to solidify on top as the syrup sits. keep swiping for how to make this toasted coconut cold brew ☕️⚡️cold brew at the base, with a little bit of depth from the toasty coconut + turbinado sugar and a touch of sea salt to balance it out… perfection! Toasted Coconut Cold Brew — 1 serving • 3 tbsp toasted coconut syrup, divided • 1.5 oz (45 ml) heavy whipping cream • ice • 10-12 oz cold brew • toasted coconut, for garnish Toasted Coconut Simple Syrup — yields 8oz, recipe below • 1/4 cup toasted coconut • 1/2 cup sugar (I used turbinado) • 4 oz (120 ml) water • a pinch of sea salt Start by adding 1 tbsp of toasted coconut syrup and heavy whipping cream (or non-dairy alternative) to a small cup and froth until light and airy but still pourable (around 30-45 seconds).To assemble your coffee, add your ice, the remaining 2 tbsp of your toasted coconut syrup, and cold brew to your glass. Top with your toasted coconut sweet cream and garnish with some toasted coconut. Stir & enjoy! Toasted Coconut Syrup: If your coconut isn’t already toasted, you can either put it in the oven in the “Broil” setting it for 1-2 minutes (keep an eye on it!) or toast it in your pan over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Then, add in your sugar, water, and sea salt to your small saucepan and heat on medium-high until it comes to a boil, stirring often. Next, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Once simmered, strain into an airtight container, let it cool and store in the fridge for up to 1 month. It’s normal for coconut oil to solidify on top as the syrup sits. First you taste the brown sugar, then the bergamot black tea flavor comes in and lightens the whole flavor profile. Crazyyy good — what tea syrup should I make next? 💫 Ingredients — yields 8oz • 2 earl grey tea bags • 4 oz (120 ml) hot water • 1/2 cup brown sugar Start by combining your earl grey tea bags with hot water and letting them steep for 5 minutes.
