I’ve never been someone who celebrates the holidays in a ‘traditional’ way, and growing up a third culture kid shaped that for me. Over time, I’ve created my own version of holiday traditions that feel calm, cozy, and aligned with ME ◡̈

Holiday moodboards, candlelight, self-reflection journaling, curating winter playlists, and a @Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry—the perfect companion to a perfect night 😗 #ad

ever wonder why some outfits feel effortlessly put together while others just… don’t? 👀

it’s not just about the clothes—it’s about how you put them together. balance, structure, and proportion all play a role in making an outfit work.

here’s how to break it down:
📌 structure vs. flow – balance fitted + relaxed pieces for an effortless look.
📌 texture & contrast – mixing fabrics (like leather, denim, or knits) + light vs. dark, soft vs. bold—contrast makes outfits interesting.
📌 proportions – where pieces hit on your body changes how an outfit feels.

the best outfits feel good because they’re intentionally balanced. so next time something looks “off,” try tweaking structure, layering, or contrast instead of changing your whole wardrobe!

if you have any questions about the outfits in these videos, feel free to ask in the comments and i’ll try to find the exact pieces or link you to something similar if i can find a dupe :)

😍😍😍 - Okay for clarification lol: we paid extra to buy reserved tickets so we could guarantee our seats on this side of the train. non-reserved tickets are first come first serve—you would have to sit wherever any available seats are. So that is what I’m referring to when I say we paid extra lmao

your body isn’t something to ‘fix’—it’s something to understand.

personal style isn’t about hiding or ‘correcting’ anything. it’s about understanding how clothes interact with your unique proportions—and working WITH them instead of against them.

broad shoulders? they’re not a problem. narrow hips? they’re not a flaw. the body you were born with is *just a body*—neither good nor bad. but the way clothes are designed? well, they don’t always consider those differences.

once you recognize this, everything gets easier. instead of thinking, “i don’t like my shoulders”, shift to “this wasn’t designed for my specific proportions.”

📌 do waistlines hit where you want them to?
📌 do your proportions feel balanced?
📌 do certain shapes make you feel more you?

when you start seeing your proportions as a guide instead of a limitation, getting dressed becomes SO much more fun.

if getting dressed feels overwhelming, chaotic, or like a daily guessing game… this is the system that changes EVERYTHING!

here’s how it works:

✨ you build 3–5 outfit formulas based on what you already love wearing

✨ each formula becomes a repeatable structure you can style a hundred different ways

✨ it takes the stress out of getting dressed—because you’re not starting from scratch every morning

for example:

blazer + tee + wide-leg pants
or
oversized knit + tailored trousers
or
classic tee + jeans + loafers

once you know what works, you can swap textures, accessories, shoes—without second-guessing everything.

📌 save this to start building your daily uniform.

My Hot Take™ is that we, as a society, have lost the art of SMART CASUAL 😔

Nowadays (at least in the U.S. lol), “casual” has come to mean sweatpants and a hoodie, when it really means something a bit more polished.

In the Philippines, we have a concept called “Pambahay,” which roughly translates to “for the house” and it’s used to refer to clothes that you ONLY wear at home. While I live in pambahay when I work from home, I would never wear these pants to an office 🥴

Smart Casual is about ease and comfort, but it still should be polished.

Again, it depends on your specific workplace culture and what they do or don’t allow, but regardless—I truly believe that the clothes you wear affect your confidence and how you show up in the world.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk ✨

Does YOUR office have a dress code, or is it a free-for-all?

A lot of Filipino kids (especially those in the diaspora) often grow up carrying both gratitude and guilt. Gratitude for the sacrifices our parents made so we could have more opportunities. Guilt for wanting to carve our own path when that path doesn’t always align with what they envisioned.

In this conversation with @belle_mariano and @piolo_pascual, we talked about that delicate balance—honoring where we come from while learning to trust our own direction. It’s a reminder that independence doesn’t erase love, and choosing yourself doesn’t mean you’re leaving anyone behind.

That same heart is what Meet, Greet & Bye is all about—a deeply moving story about love, family, and the lengths we’ll go to for the people who matter most. It’s a film that reminds us that showing up for one another is the truest form of love.

🎬 Meet, Greet & Bye will be out in theaters on November 14! Bring your family, your friends, or anyone who feels like home. 💛

your dream wardrobe should fit your REAL LIFE—not just your pinterest board ❗️ let’s break it down step by step.

one of the biggest reasons closets feel chaotic? they don’t actually match your lifestyle. here’s how to fix that:

📌 step 1: grab a notebook (or your notes app) & write down the main categories of your life. think:
⤷ work: office, remote, casual, business attire?
⤷ social: brunches, events, date nights?
⤷ active: gym, pilates, walks, none?
⤷ travel: do you pack often? need versatile pieces?
⤷ home: do you lounge a lot? need comfy, put-together looks?

📌 step 2: audit your closet → does your wardrobe actually reflect the life you live… or just the life you *wish* you had?

📌 step 3: identify the gaps → if you work from home but own mostly office wear, or if you go out often but have no good “going out” outfits, it’s time to adjust.

when your wardrobe matches your lifestyle, getting dressed becomes effortless. what’s one category you need more clothes for? vote below! ⬇️✨

Your Business Casual Shopping List 📝 Comment “links” and I’ll send you some of my top business casual wardrobe picks!

Business casual is the most confusing dress code for a reason. It’s flexible, but “flexible” doesn’t mean “casual”…even if it’s in the name 😬

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
- straight leg trousers
- knit tops & sweaters
- simple blouses (silk, satin, & cotton are great)
- structured cardigans
- loafers, flats, boots
- denim (preferably dark wash; make sure your office allows jeans)

WHAT TO AVOID
- anything distressed
- crop tops
- revealing tops
- neon colors
- mini skirts

While ‘business professional’ relies on structure and clean lines, ‘business casual’ can be a little more relaxed. Just make sure to still keep it professional.

In the next DRESS CODE 101 class, we’ll tackle Casual or ‘Smart Casual’

Ever feel like your look just feels *off* even when you’re wearing pieces you love? That’s usually a proportion issue. Pairing lengths, rises, and cuts the right way can completely change how polished your outfit looks.

Think of it like this: your clothes should balance each other out, not fight for space.

Every workplace has its own language, and business professional is one of the most traditional dialects.

It was designed for high-stakes environments like law and finance firms, which is why the details feel so precise: structure means reliability, polish signals respect, and consistency creates trust.

Because this is the most formal and conservative dress code, relaxed silhouettes, bright colors, and trend-focused pieces often shift outfits too far away from its traditional aesthetic.

When it comes to business formal, always think: structure. tradition. sharpness. clean lines.

In the next episode, we’ll tackle BUSINESS CASUAL. Like & follow for more! ♡
