You realized we watched Louisville’s DL make the JMU OL look like middle schoolers right? We saw them, the only top-50 team you played, sack you six times

A decade ago, 85 points in the @247sports recruiting rankings was the gap between the No. 1 class and the No. 16 class Today, 85 is the gap between the No.1 and the No. 32 50 was the gap from 1st and 8th. Now? 1st and 16th Talent is spreading out so much. Everyone has hope

I took a stab at a preseason top 25 🤷‍♂️

Think it is really tight 8-15ish and there are more than 10 teams that could win a title.

Also think the odds the title is won by a team with a legit 1st round QB are higher this year than last because of how many there might be.

Meant to post this earlier, but here we go. The @Nolecast has been a passion project for us for 15 years, through some great seasons and some awful. Thanks to passionate fanbase and amazing sponsors, it even turned into an occasionally profitable hobby. We always tell each other “it’s appointment listening. Don’t put out an episode just to do it. If we wouldn’t want to listen to it, don’t publish.” But lately, that’s been impossible. Running an FSU-focused podcast at the level we’ve maintained over thousands of episodes doesn’t make sense right now. We’ll keep the same schedule through the end of our current sponsor deals, and for 2026 our frequency will match the commitment level that the FSU administration is putting in. When or if that commitment returns under a new administration, we’ll return in full.

Alabama's power rating went UP after yesterday. Oklahoma's went down. They doubled up OU in yardage. Turnovers are largely random. If they played that game again next weekend Bama would be favored by more than it was. That's what the models see

Exactly. They see Clemson is going into the gutter but get great name recognition out of it.

This shtick by someone here that you can't go to weddings or do anything else during college football season is fake and lame.

Enjoy the sport, but have a life.

Here are the four weak college football Saturdays for you to abandon the couch and score brownie points.

Nobody had a worse day in a blowout win than Notre Dame, which saw the rest of its schedule and potential resume crumble

Forget wins over ranked teams — Notre Dame probably won’t have a win over a single BOWL team from the P4 outside of USC

Using college stadiums to generate offseason revenue is pretty smart.

Hard to get the truly huge acts to remote areas.

Hotel situation is atrocious (Ocala 1k/night) but so many people live within 150min of Gainesville you can get big acts there because people can day trip it.

IMPORTANT

Outlined this on the Monday show, but the committee basically has to move Bama over Notre Dame tonight to prevent a situation where SECCG loser Bama gets bounced if BYU wins the Big 12

Here’s why:

I bet Booger and LSU celebrated going to the Peach Bowl in 1996 with a 10-2 record and a No. 17 ranking like crazy because back then ESPN wasn't there to tell them that their season was meaningless because they didn't make the playoffs. In 1997, nobody was telling his LSU squad, which lost two games by less than a touchdown and had a win over the number one Florida Gators, that their season was a failure. They were excited for their bowl game. That was an excellent season. We used to recognize that. But if Booger played today, he'd be told those seasons don't matter because they didn't make the playoffs. This is what I'm talking about in terms of what we've lost in a sport with the focus on such a narrowly drawn playoff.

Great reporting on this by Dan.

I still think the LSU hiring process will be just fine because LSU is a job You really can’t screw up. I mean you get fired for going 7-5.

But this FIRING process. Sheesh.
