The @RBCCanadianOpen announces Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka, Tony Finau, Shane Lowry, Sam Burns, Sahith Theegala and defending champion Ryan Fox will be in the field. Also, the 2027 Open will be held at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.

Not sure if Brian Rolapp will announce specific events today but two very reliable sources last week told me the RBC Canadian Open will be part of the Championship Series. If true, it would mean big changes for the national open.

Just trying to head this off: In Canada, the Open Championship will be on Golf Channel Thursday and Friday. It will be on TSN on Saturday and Sunday starting at 7 am ET.

So it appears for the second year, the folks at Rogers cable haven’t flipped the switch to allow the Open coverage on Golf Channel over its cable network in Canada. Bell and other providers are showing it.

Good start to the season on the Korn Ferry Tour for Adam Hadwin. He finishes second at The Panama Championship at -6 and collects $90,000. Stu MacDonald ends up tied for 16th.

What a farewell for @BradGushue, one of the best to ever throw a rock. A tremendous career for a guy who changed the game in many ways and threw so many remarkable shots. Even more, he’s just a wonderful individual on and off the ice.

A discussion over a two-shot penalty on Bryson is taking place at the 5th hole. Bryson is pretty heated in talking with the officials and understandably so. Would drop him from 7 under to 5 under. The way he looks, it sseems like he's getting a penalty

So it is not just Rogers. A number of cable companies haven’t made the switch and folks are stuck watching golf instruction rather than The Open.

Does it seem like there are Zone 1 people and then basically everyone else is Zone 2?

I don't know if there is a broadcaster in this country who is more synonymous with his/her sport than Vic is with curling. Classy, gracious, always prepared, and with his calls becoming part of the game. Curling will never be the same. Congrats Vic!

PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai and Wyndham Clark added to the field at the @RBCCanadianOpen

RBC has announced that Shane Lowry is the newest member of its ambassador team. Lowry will wear the RBC shield for the first time today at the TGL Golf match, and will play the RBC Heritage and the RBC Canadian Open.
