Setting up my laundry room in our new house brought me so much joy. I just love having a laundry room that I love and this is literally such a dream laundry room for me 🥰 I brought a handful of my favorite things from our old laundry room and then added a few more things that I know are going to make this space even more functional than my last laundry room! My main goal with my laundry room is to be functional but also really aesthetic 🧺 I want to feel at peace in this room because I spend a ton of time in here 😂 I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite rooms in our house now! And one thing I’m loving about our laundry room in our new house is that it’s on the same floor as most of our kids’ rooms! Decluttered our activity cabinet! After a great first year of homeschooling and tons of arts and crafts, this cabinet really needed some attention before summer. My plan was to declutter and take out anything that isn’t in good shape and things we aren’t currently using and make note of some things that I need to restock. I got rid of all the play dough that was in bad shape and I’m planning to restock that. I’m also going to re-do their kinetic sand sensory bins. My girls have loved these so much but they are really in rough shape so I’m excited to re-do them for this summer. I also have a handful of basic art supplies I want to refresh. I’ll plan to share a restock video soon of everything I add in here so we are set for a great summer! Couldn’t be more grateful for the sweet nurses who take care of mamas during and after birth! I had some of the most amazing nurses for my first two babies so I knew I wanted to put together baskets for the nurses when we deliver baby boy any day now! I made a basket for L&D and also one for postpartum! Decluttered our shoes today. I can’t believe I let this closet get this like, but also I have to tell you why. Right before we left on our trip to Florida, both of my girls had switched shoe sizes. I also hadn’t transitioned between winter shoes to summer shoes so I literally had this closet stuffed with shoes and never went through to get rid of the ones we no longer needed. So I had old sizes, winter and summer shoes, and new shoes I bought before our trip here, not to mention way too many of my shoes that I normally keep upstairs in my closet. And once we got back from our trip, instead of taking care of the closet first, I just dumped all of the shoes in here 🫣 We’ve literally just been surviving with this mess so today I finally took care of it! Once I got through all of the sizes we no longer needed and organized all of the shoes into pairs, it was so easy to get it put away properly in our shoe organizer! I love this shoe organizer that we have in this closet. It’s the perfect size and holds so many shoes! Here’s everything I packed in my hospital bag as a third time mom. I will say, I tend to be a bit of an overpacker. I would always rather be overprepared than underprepared. I did forget a few things in these photos- I brought two reusable bags that fold up really small to bring home anything they give us at the hospital. Doing laundry has become one of my favorite chores to do now. Austin and I have been married almost 15 years now and this is by far the nicest laundry room we’ve ever had. We’ve been through all the laundry room stages from a tiny closet with stackable washer and dryer in our first apartment and slowly working our way to this with each move. I feel so grateful to have this as our laundry room now! I have loved adding things in here to make doing laundry as easy as possible and it makes such a difference for me! Decluttered the small cabinet we have in our dining room! ✨ So many things in here were from Christmas time like the candle stick holders, Christmas tree candles, and other little decor items. I wanted to get these out of here and pack them away. I have also been storing broken candle sticks here. I had ordered a few sets of these pink candle sticks and most of them came broken. I did get a refund but for some reason, I still kept all of the sticks. So those went in the trash finally. This is a small cabinet but also the only storage we have in our dining room. I wanted it to be a place for my recipe books and our new family recipe binders. We’ve also been storing Austin’s on the go coffee cups here. I’ve had this acrylic organizer for a while because I planned to use it somewhere else but it didn’t work out. It works perfectly to store these cups, lids, and straws though! Decluttered our laundry room! As we’re getting ready to move, I feel like there are so many catch all spaces that I have to clear out. I really want to only take things with us to the next house that we actually use and not all the random junk that we have laying around. So I’m attempting to declutter a couple more spaces before our move next week. I don’t know why this poor laundry room is always such a mess. I think it’s just the easiest place for me to throw things when I’m trying to clean up. It’s right off of our kitchen and has a door that I can easily close off the mess. Decluttered under our kitchen sink ✨ The old way I had everything organized from our previous house just doesn’t work in this cabinet. All of our kitchen cabinets are smaller in this house so I’m having to completely re-do how I organize everything and really prioritize what we keep in each one. Which really means I’ve just got a lot of decluttering to do 😂✨ I really like the new organizer I got for the side of the cabinet a lot! It’s nice to use the height of the cabinet since we don’t have as much width so this works well for us! Decluttering hasn’t stopped since our move! If anything, I want to declutter even more since our move. Moving made me realize we still have so much that we just don’t need in this season of life. I really want to do as much decluttering before the baby comes too! I feel so much more at peace when we have less stuff in our home. I’ve been needing to declutter some of the girls’ clothes that no longer fit or aren’t in good shape anymore. But now they are sharing a room and a closet, I want to be sure we are as organized as possible. The mess that was sitting on the floor started as a pile of things I needed to finish unpacking since we moved in, but the girls happily kept adding to the pile 😂 They were just grabbing things that were hung up and tossing them in the pile so it grew out of control so quickly. Being able to actually see their floor now feels so good! And we’re working on the girls not just throwing clothes on the floor again- but honestly, I struggle with that in my closet too so maybe it’s just part of being a girl 😂 I love the girls’ closet so much. This is definitely a big step 1- I have so much more in mind to use this space better and I can’t wait for it to be fully set up! #declutter #decluttering #declutterwithme #declutteringtips #closetorganization
