How much money should you spend on an engagement ring? 👀💍 The answer is really all about how much you can afford to spend! Look at your current financial situation, your money goals and what actually makes sense for you to determine your personal ring budget. Engagement rings can get really expensive, but there’s a number of factors that you can play with to bring the cost down (like mined diamonds vs lab diamonds vs moissanite stones, and the 4 C’s). *Note: Mined diamonds pose ethical and environmental issues across the board, and lab grown diamonds can pose a potential environmental risk in some cases. In general, we really encourage people to talk to their friends about this topic, and of course talk to your partner - communication is key! Here’s how much it cost to get my tonsils removed 💰🩺 I recently had a tonsillectomy to remove my tonsils (I’ve had swollen tonsils and constant tonsillitis infections since I was 20 years old!), and I wanted to share my experience + the costs involved. Here’s how much it cost (I live in Toronto, Canada). ➡️ Doctor’s visits - $0 (covered by OHIP) ➡️ Surgery - $0 (covered by OHIP) ➡️ Pain medicine - $21.16 ➡️ Rental car - $212.77 ➡️ Groceries - $106.59 ➡️ TOTAL - $340.52 I’m very grateful that I was able to get a surgery that should improve my health moving forward, for free (other than the costs I chose to take on to make the experience comfortable for myself). I’m also grateful that I work for myself, so taking time off to recover was an easy option.
