are you team vest or belt??🤔 also rumor has it I still haven't decided what to use for the NYC Marathon... help me decide!🙏 I've done most of my long run training with a vest but loved the belt for my half marathon and want to carry as little as possible for the race! I am definitely carrying all my own fuel but my concern is hydration... I've never run a major before, so to my seasoned marathoners - what's hydration like on course?? can I get away with only carrying 1 bottle and rely on getting the rest on course?? should I not carry any water at all??🧐 in the video: @On ultra vest pro 10L On ultra belt 2L #onpartner

a lot can happen in 2 years… 2 years ago I felt like I didn’t deserve any of these opportunities and like I didn’t belong today I get to reflect on all the growth, all the times a door was opened for me & all the times I decided to walk through that door, even though I was filled with fear thank you @On for opening that door thank you to my friend Vanessa Chavarriaga Posada for helping me feel less like an imposter and changing the way that I view my role in this community, we are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for and thank you to anyone and everyone that was ever a part of my journey time to dream big again🤭

my guide to the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim👇 if you’re looking to run the rim in 1 day here is everything we did! Route: South Kaibab Trail to North Kaibab Trail spanning ~21-24 miles with 6,000 ft of elevation gain, and we added a mile detour to Ribbon Falls My fav and must stops: Boat Beach for a dip in the Colorado River Phantom Ranch Canteen for an ice cold lemonade Ribbon Falls (~1 mile detour & SO worth it) Coconino Overlook for the final view back where you started! Tips: Be sure to start early, minimize hiking/running between the hours of 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and balance food intake with water intake water is limited on the North Kaibab, and the only potable water currently available is at Manzanita Rest Area Where we stayed: Maswik Lodge - South Rim (night before) Jacob Lake Inn - North Rim (night after & the world famous cookies are indeed worth the hype) Shuttles: Trans-Canyon Shuttle bag transfer: drop luggage at Bright Angel Lodge to be transferred to the North Kaibab Lodge free park shuttle from Bright Angel Lodge to South Kaibab trailhead Trans-Canyon Shuttle North Kaibab Trail to Jacob Lake Inn (pick up luggage on the way) Trans-Canyon Shuttle Jacob Lake Inn to Bright Angel Lodge (next day) a trip like this can be a lot of logistics, but I promise it is worth it for this bucketlist trail🤩

this winter we’re not settling for uncomfy ski boots!!!  I got the ✨signature boot fit✨ package at @evo_hq and I cannot recommend it enough - I didn't feel rushed at all, could ask as many questions as I wanted, and they made sure I was truly happy with my boots before I walked out the door  I love to ski & I love to nerd out about ski gear so this was a dream & I learned so much I could talk about this for days👇 The boots I got: Atomic Hawx Ultra 115 S W GW What I learned from my fitting: * My heel has never actually been locked into any boot I’ve owned until now (you don’t realize until you realizeee)
 * My boots have all been way too big! (I got my first boots sizing based off a generic size chart & turns out they were 2 whole sizes too big…😮)
 * I have a pretty average if not slightly narrow shaped foot (this is insane news to me bc I always thought I had wide feet??) so I got a ✨low volume boot✨
 * I tried on medium volume boots and less stiff flexes but none felt as secure and responsive as the Atomic Hawx!
 * My right foot is bigger than my left! (I knew this but it felt nice to be validated😌) after wearing the boots for a while I felt a bit of pressure on the outside of my right toes and they were able to punch out the shell to make more room for my piggies!
Thanks to the amazing staff at evo Denver I could not be more stoked to be wearing these boots this season!!! #evo #ad

we all gotta start somewhere!!! learning to ski was one of the most humbling but rewarding things I've ever done! it can feel intimidating and like everyone else grew up skiing, but I'm here to tell you they were all a beginner at some point. also here to say that everyone is on their own timeline! it takes time, patience, and a lot of practice to learn something new. my journey was far from perfect and I am still learning, but it taught me that you can learn something new at any age and it's fun to laugh at yourself every once in a while🤪 My tips for getting started skiing👇👇👇 - rent gear to start!!! no need to invest $$$ until you know you enjoy it! - take a lesson!!! I wish I had done this and might still - ski with people better than you!!! (but also make sure they are patient and willing to help) - don't be so hard on yourself! like anything, it takes a lot of practice and if you don't live near a ski mountain it's hard to get consistent reps in! - don't be afraid to look silly or make mistakes - as long as you are being safe, this is how you learn!!! Happy skiing!!!❄️✨

Well this is awkward… I’ve never actually introduced myself!👋 I just wanted to say thank you for giving me this platform even if it is just a teeny tiny corner of the internet. You’ve changed my life forever, you’ve allowed me to dream bigger than ever, and you’ve made me feel like I belong to and have a community. Thanks for being here🫶

romanticizing a long run day bc why not🤘 currently in the thick of training for some big things and I am so. tired. like all the time… and I kinda love it?? I knew coming back from 2 injuries was going to test me and boy is it - but there’s also something so satisfying about working towards a goal and working hard. anyone relate? running is hard. running is weird. that’s all I have to say.🫡

run is life. live laugh run. eat sleep run. lol this👆is how the internet feels like in the running space sometimes and tbh I'm over it let's normalize well balanced relationships with running and it adding to your life not controlling your life! I am not a "perfect" runner and honestly I don't ever want to be one🤷🏻‍♀️ I am MY kind of runner.

are you team rent skis or bring your own skis?🎿 I have now done 3 international trips and rented skis on all of them and honestly... I have mixed reviews👇 In Banff I had a great experience, in Italy I was stuck with skis that were way too skinny and short for me, in Japan I found a great ski but options were super limited and I think I got lucky I think the important factors here are what kind of skiing are you doing, how long, and how advanced are you? If you go on 1 ski trip a year it probably makes sense to rent! If you're an avid skier and love your skis, it's probably worth it to lug them to the airport! I have yet to fly with skis but I think its time🤔

I ran the Teton Crest Trail! and ended up in a natgeo film at mile 24…🫣 anyways, I had a lot of time on trail to think… maybe too much time… here’s some of those thoughts: If you were to ask me why I love trail running… I’d say I love the places it takes me, finding out my body is capable of far more than I ever thought, and that with each new distance I get a little more curious. But if you were to ask me on a deeper level… I realize I don’t know if I’ve ever felt like I truly belong in this community. On a surface level yes, but on a deeper level its still a work in progress. Partly because I feel inadequate in my running ability, but mostly because I feel I don’t look the part. In most groups and on most trails I am the only person of color (in this case I had a squad🫶 but guess what? we were the only group of color). This doesn't mean pity us - this means notice that we say the outdoors are for all but we don't actively make the outdoors are for all but we don’t actively make the outdoors for all. It’s days like this that remind me what I’m capable of, no matter how I look or where I come from. People of color are strong, women are strong, beginners are strong, and we belong in the outdoors. Am I doing these things to prove something? Maybe unconsciously I seek approval and acceptance from this community, but mostly I hope to prove to myself that I don’t need to do that. I just do it because I love it. And I hope that inspires others to do the same.

I got a new toy earlier this year and have been ITCHING to tell y’all more about… 6 months later it was honestly hard to come up with the cons besides the obvious cost, but for us it was 100% worth it☺️ since getting this tent we have slept outside more than I ever thought we would and have never been comfier!☁️💤 Are you thinking about upgrading your camp system??⬇️⬇️⬇️ I had no idea what I was looking for when I started my search… all I knew was I wanted something comfier and beefier so I could camp more frequently! Then came the less fun questions…🤔 - what’s our car’s roof weight capacity? - what kind of roof rack should we get? - how will it affect gas mileage? - is it difficult to install and remove? - is it designed for winter camping? and so much more… We went with the Inspired Overland Standard Lightweight Rooftop Tent and I’m so glad we did! Why’d we pick this one? It’s one of the lightest tents we could find that didn’t sacrifice durability and has all the features we were looking for! *NOT sponsored just stoked with this purchase🤪
