I used to think being prepared for travel meant packing the right outfits, planning on staying at LGBTQ safe places, and making sure I had all my camera equipment haha But one trip completely changed that. Ziggy and I were on our way to Thailand with a layover in South Korea when I suddenly got really sick on the flight. What was supposed to be a quick connection turned into us missing our next flight, going through customs unexpectedly, trying to find a hotel late at night, and navigating everything in a country where we didn’t speak the language. And honestly, it was overwhelming. When things go wrong while traveling, especially somewhere unfamiliar, you realize very quickly how vulnerable you can feel. As queer travelers, there’s already a level of awareness we carry in certain situations and adding sickness, exhaustion, and uncertainty on top of that made the experience even more stressful. Now, I don’t just prepare for the exciting parts of a trip. I prepare for the unexpected too. One thing that’s become part of that for me is having travel insurance before I leave. Knowing I have support if something unexpected happens, whether it’s medical issues, travel interruptions, or delays it gives me so much more peace of mind while exploring the world. Because travel isn’t just about the destination. It’s also about feeling safe while getting there! #AXAtravelinsurance AD

I don’t think this one was thought through very well 🙄 #repost because this is still going on and only gotten worse for the community! Did you know that on September 22, 2025, Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 8 (SB 8) into law in Texas, often called the “bathroom bill”? This law forces people in government owned buildings, including public schools, universities, prisons, jails, and other state facilities, including airports, to use restrooms, locker rooms, and changing areas based on the sex they were assigned at birth. This law is framed as being about the “safety” of cisgender women, but in reality it targets trans people, especially trans women! It pushes the false narrative that cis women are unsafe simply because a trans woman exists in the same restroom. There was no widespread issue before this law, yet now the risk of harm is higher! Trans women being forced into men’s restrooms face harassment, bullying, or worse. And what about the very real possibility of cis men walking into women’s restrooms and claiming another identity? Has that been considered? Instead of protecting anyone, this law manufactures fear where none existed. And now, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has taken things even further, encouraging people to report others by filling out forms if they suspect a trans person is using a restroom. This turns everyday Texans into bathroom police, promotes profiling and harassment, and puts trans people at even greater risk simply for trying to exist in public. Why create conflict, fear, and danger when there wasn’t a problem to begin with? #transrightsarehumanrights

When hard work pays off and you get to travel the world with your best friends. ✨🏳️‍🌈 Did you know that Thailand is often called the “gay capital of Asia?” LGBTQ+ travelers are welcomed at many resorts and hotels, especially in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Pattaya. The Thailand government actively promotes Thailand as a safe and inclusive travel destination for queer tourists. If you were thinking about making a trip to Thailand, this is your sign to do it! #lgbtqtravel #visitthailand #queercouples #gothaibefree #lgbtqcommunity

It’s time to normalize Gender Affirming Care 🏳️‍⚧️ I started hormones when I was 25 years old in 2016. It changed my life. It gave me the confidence I always knew I had inside. Did you know….. 1. Gender affirming care has been around for over a century. Doctors in Germany were providing gender affirming surgeries and hormone research as early as the 1910s–1930s, notably at Magnus Hirschfeld’s Institute for Sexual Science. 2. Hormone therapy is not new or experimental. Estrogen and testosterone have been prescribed for decades! Testosterone since the 1930s–40s and estrogen shortly after. 3. Gender-affirming care is evidence based and improves well being of a person. Major medical organizations agree that gender affirming care reduces dysphoria, depression, and suicide risk and improves overall quality of life when it’s patient led and appropriately prescribed. Gender Affirming Care Saves Lives, let’s not take that away from the community! #transrightsarehumanrights
