Albert McLaughlin, 47, of Doylestown, was arrested Aug. 4 and charged with burglary, defiant trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property. Police allege he squeezed through a construction fence early on Aug. 3, entered the school, stole food, clothing, and other items, took a shower, and left wearing a T-shirt and carrying a coffee mug taken from the school. Surveillance footage reportedly shows McLaughlin inside from 2 to 8:30 a.m., collecting items, storing them in an unlocked office, and leaving with a backpack he did not have when he arrived. Richard Brooks, also known as Ricky Brooks, of Freehold, New Jersey, was charged following a ChildLine report received by Plumstead Township Police in April. Investigators say Brooks groomed and abused minor employees while working as a manager at a Saladworks in Plumstead Township between 2020 and 2024. Police interviewed 10 victims, all minors, who reported that Brooks provided them with alcohol, marijuana cartridges, cigarettes, and his prescribed Adderall. Authorities allege similar behavior occurred while Brooks worked as a manager at a Wendy’s and at his apartment in Doylestown. In one incident, police say Brooks groped a teen without consent while at work. An arrest warrant was issued on Dec. 11. Brooks was arrested and arraigned on Dec. 24 on felony drug charges, indecent assault, and corruption of minors. He remains held at Bucks County Prison after failing to post bail.
